Technically we gave up the Vietnam war. We said "F*#K it" and left because it would have turned into a global nuclear war and winning wasnt worth it. So its not like we COULDNT have won, we just didnt think it was worth it to do what was needed to win. So we gave up. And yeah thats the same as losing but you know what i mean...

1) Sun and Moon are the same size, both, approx 2500 miles above earth
2) South pole doesn't exist. It's an ice wall that keeps earth's water enclosed.
3) Satellites don't exist. It's a conspiracy from the countries that have them
4) NASA is a fraud. All those space pics are all photoshops. It's another conspiracy started from the US.
5) Obviously, we never went to the moon. All those Mars landers and planetary probes? All fake.

You can fly from either end of the continent and end up on the other side of the other continent. You can't go to the poles because it's too cold and dangerous, like space. You can't explain that. The world is actually a cylinder and we live on the outer surface. China is the only country that lives in the inner part of the cylinder. That's why if you dig far enough you end up there.
Actually you can fly over the poles if you so wish. There have even been commercial flights that have flown over them but most don't since they have understandably instituted rules that require some pretty expensive, heavy and bulky safety gear in the case of a crash. Most sane people don't fly over the poles because, well to be perfectly honest it just isn't a sane activity and if insane shit is your game there are way more fun things to do.
So you might have to rent your own plane, pay an absurdly high insurance premium, buy a fuckton of emergency safety gear to survive in the Antartic and then find a pilot crazy enough to fly the plane but it is doable. The only other argument I've heard cited is that "but but but you can't land at any of the runways in Antartica!!!" Well duh, there aren't any commercial airports there and the places that do have runways don't exactly have a ton of resources to provide to every asshole who decides to land there.
