I just found out there is a monthly bandwidth limit of 300MB for that storage space. It seems that it will take quite some time to upload all my photos there as backup unless they remove that cap.
Hmm, I remember when hotmail had a limit of 10 meg in an inbox, or maybe it was even less :O
Has anyone considered using flickr.com to backup your pictures?
This new storage limit enticed me to do so. I set the pictures I uploaded to private but then was surprised to see the 300MB monthly limit. It will only take a shade under three centuries to actually fill up 1TB at that rate.
Looks like that limit has been lifted. Who knows for how long though.
I'll cram what I can in there for now.
Let me know how it goes, if it's reasonable I'll sign up.

Oh, and when I stopped paying for Flickr, they held all my images for ransom, I don't think I was even able to access more than the first 100 images. Not that I really had anything important on there that I didn't have elsewhere but that really rubs me the wrong way.
Edit: don't really like their new photostream. Like that they have an Android app that makes uploading easy.
But as of now, I use Skydrive to share pictures (still have not filled up my 25GB). Their gallery feature is every bit as good as Flickr's used to be. And it is free, but I think new members get 7GB.
Amazing deal but 300mb upload limit a month seems like a joke?
1 Terabyte of photo and video storage
Upload photos of up to 200MB per photo
Upload 1080p HD videos of up to 1GB each
Video playback of up to 3 minutes each
Upload and download in full original quality
Unlimited monthly bandwidth
Great, I just bought the Flickr "Pro" subscription or whatever its called like 2 months ago.
Same here. Sucks!
