I am not joking I rather be fucking blind than have these fucking things float across my eye consistently. What makes this happen? Is it just natural or does something have to happen for it to occur? Either way I am wanting to just cry because they seriously kill me. It ruins my thought process and when I close my eyes and have a light on I can still see them. It's REALLY ANNOYING.

Anyway.. rant and wishing I was dead.

That could be arranged.

Of course it's natural. It's the rod/cone/retina cells that have died (being replaced) that are floating around in the fluid in your eye.

I have them in both eyes but I don't notice them very often.

ya i have them..very annoying. Throughout mylife, I had to always swish around my eyes so they can move out of the way when I read. When they come into view in between a word and me, then I have to maneuver my head around so I can at least see the word.

Don't talk to me about golf... It was one of the reasons why I stopped playing competitively because I would ALWAYS lose track of the ball due to the floaters. It looked like 100 balls falling down.

Wow I have always wondered what those were called. I have had them for a few years.

I hate when a large hardon collides with my eye.

It depends on what it is. It may or it may not. I have some perma-floaters. Seriously though, if you're saying you'd rather be blind than have them, you're a dumbass. Deal with it like everybody else.

They eventually (well, usually) sink to the bottom of your eye. I've had them for as long as I can remember, but a few months ago I got a BAD one. It's yellow, and it blocks maybe..5% of the vision of that eye, space-wise? Behind it I can't see at all. It seems to be a collection of floaters actually, and they're all attached to one single on that's somehow attached to the top left of my eye. Anyways, it's always in the center of my vision, and it really...reallllly sucks. It gives me headaches sometimes.

Not everyone gets them. Being nearsighted or having large pupils makes them a lot easier to see.

It's not the floaters that are your problem. It's the rampant amount of emo.

Floaters can also be caused by eye damage of some sort. I have some in one eye from a chemical splash that got past my protective goggles at work once by running down my forehead into my eye. Burned like hell, washed it out, and went back to work. Woke up the next morning going WTF? Never went away. Fortunetly it is little dots I hardly notice, and it grew less obvious over time.

Floaters can also be caused by too much fiber in your diet.

Emo much?

Chill dude, at least you can SEE for fuks sake. You are obsessing over it, and you just need to try to ignore it. Maybe you can adjust your brightness or contrast or refresh rate and you will notice it a lot less. I usually only notice mine while reading, fortunately. If you wear glasses it may be magnifying the effect, too. Try taking them off and see if the effect appears less noticeable. Also, you might need separate glasses for reading and distance to minimize the effect. See an eye doctor about it.

But don't panic over it. Adapt to it. You may have had some eye damage at some point, and just don't remember it. The eye is funny like that. One of my eyes sees color a bit different than the other one does, too, as well as my one eyed floaters. But just chill out over it at any rate. Good grief.
