The Florida state legislator who introduced the “Don’t say gay” bill has added an amendment which would require the school to tell the student’s parents that they’re gay, even if the school knows that by telling the parents that, it could very possibly introduce the kid to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Now I feel a challenge coming on: write a speech to be given to incoming students every year, that essentially says, “You’re not allowed to tell us you’re gay, because they’ve banned the word “gay” in schools, but that’s actually okay, because if you did manage to tell us you’re gay without using the word “gay”, we’d be required to rat you out to your parents. So, under no circumstances should you even try to use any version of the word “gay” to tell us you’re gay, for your own protection,” but do it in a manner that is completely adherent to the “Don’t Say Gay” law.
Announce membership in the Log Cabin Republicans?
Nah! ... It’s got “log” right there in the name, still way too gay.
