Mississippi highest tax on groceries in the country. (8% I believe)

They're also the only state whose name starts with an F. Hell, it's only them and California that even have an F in the name! Damn Florida, hogging the capital F.
You forgot Souf Car'lina.

Louisiana is even worse. Beside Katrina mess, La <sometime Ms> is in the bottom of most of the good lists <such as education, healthcare> and top of most the bad lists <such as overweight, no car or health insurance>.
La also has "crying poor me" Blanco <for 9 more months> and "chocolate" Nagin <for at least 4 more years>. Bad roads, idiots that keep reelect same crooks over and over. You get the point, at least you don't have to pay income tax in Fl.
Lived here all my life and I think the hot and humid climate sucks - feels like an armpit for 9 months out of the year. Agree about the crap scenery, except for the coastlines.Originally posted by: sandorski
Florida has an awesome Climate, but crap for scenery. Wouldn't want to live there, at least permanently, but for a Winter getaway it would be perfect.

You're in Ohio? You should be on the anti-Florida wagon as well.

*confirmed*
If you go to the grocery store and purchase a six-pack of Coke, a deli sandwich, a bag of M&Ms, a box of popsicles and a bottle of mouthwash, they will all be taxed.

WTF are you talking about
He means state income tax.
I like Florida. Oceans, warmth, sun (yet still has a variety of weather), hurricanes. etc... Moved here from Denver at the beginning of the year for a new job. I would like it more, however, if I lived somewhere closer to a bigger city like Miami or Tampa. I miss that feeling of living downtown in a big city.
To be honest, I know I'm going to miss the scenic landscape and cold weather (to a point...mostly the fall colors) of Colorado.

While you raise several valid points I think you are being extremely parochial in your overall statement. Texas sucks worse. It has Texans.
