The best start is to do away with these school "no gun" zones. Then arm and train teachers, staff, and admin to carry and to confront a shooter. I saw a news report showing these kids laughing and smiling because they were on TV. I'm sure you could find it yourselves if you tried. I also, saw a news report showing these kids talking about the shooter and all the trouble he had caused in school.
