This idea of making Republicans pay for the consequences of their actions seems to be a logical idea whose time has come, given how under Trump's mysteriously crippling influence, the bulk of the party's faithful are allowing Trump's personally picked nutjobs to run amok with their religiously infected militaristic authoritarian racism. All that while ignoring how their politicians, in their lust for power and the control it gives them are pursuing policies that are to the direct detriment of their own working class constituency and to the exclusive favor of their corporate benefactors.
Their political cadre have convinced their gullible ignorant wards to close the southern border, to despise the heathen commie socialist baby killers, to vote against their own best interests, to elect rabble rousing obstructionists that offer nothing in return for the chance to be their so called patriotic standard bearers in gov't., to let their leaders take away their essential social services that millions of them rely on.
So let their rank and file have what their political apparatchiks have in mind for them while leaving the rest of us to move on into the future where we can make it as prosperous and secure as possible for ourselves. Let those brain-fucked conservatives live with their religiosity, their strict anti-abortion beliefs, automatic rifles and isolationist policies. Let them live without their Social Security, Medicare, college loan forgiveness, cheaper drugs, job creating infrastructure programs, affordable health care and the inherent upward mobility potential that progressive policies are known for.
Go right ahead and fuck around with that for awhile. See what happens. Get what you deserve and live with it.
