WTF?!

the Youtuber only has 1 professional boxing match and that was against another Youtuber. (Logan lost by decision)

WTF?!

pay-per-view tickets available at a cost of $49.99.
Mayweather anticipates windfall of "$100m or more."

i assume thats more $ than what he made vs MMA star Conor McGregor to take this kind of hit to his reputation for this farce?

‘Oh what if Mayweather ruins his whole legacy by losing to a YouTuber?’

WTF?

Meanwhile, Paul will reportedly get a $250,000 base fee, in addition to 10% of PPV sales.

WTF?

edit:
Looks like a catch weight fight?
Logan looks like a heavy weight (Mike Tyson class) while Mayweather is welterweight

Edit2:

edit3 (CONFIRMING that the entire event is a Circus show):
the undercard is former NFL star wide receiver Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson taking on MMA veteran Brian Maxwell.

W T F?!?!?

If I recall Floyd made something like $300M for the Connor fight which was an actual fight while this is an exhibition.

I wouldn't even count it as WWE since there neither of them can act, or work on a compelling story line.

The "fight" will last as long until Floyd gets bored.

1) Paul didn't lose his prior matches (he's 3-0 but it's not an official "pro" or even rated amateur record)

2) This is exhibition, not a pro-rated match. The $100m+ payday makes any "hit" against Mayweather's reputation a non-issue for him. He's already mostly retired now, and this was easy money.

Paul is MUCH bigger. We do not really know what level of skill/training he has.
Mayw is far more skilled.
In my opinion, Mayw has a stronger mentality - better discipline, better self-control when something goes wrong.
Paul really wants to win. Whether this works as an advantage or disadvantage depends on his discipline.

Mayweather 90/10.

obvious disclaimer: this is a joke fight just like McGregor vs Mayweather.

does it matter if it's an exhibition or pro fight? (was his fight vs MMA star Connor a pro fight?)

Logan is going to fight hard.
and if Mayweather loses, it'll tarnish his rep forever. (losing to a youtuber)

and just like his fight vs McGregor, Mayweather's strategy here should also be Rope-A-Dope.
it's unlikely Logan has the cardio to go the distance.

Mayweather's famous for being 80% defensive so just let Logan swing while Mayweather blocks, dodges and backsteps till Logan gasses out

Logan can fight 150% harder than he ever has before in his life. It won't matter. He's a fucking douchebag youtuber. Just because he started training and learning boxing in the last few years doesn't mean much of anything.

Mayweather, on the other hand, has decades of professional, hardened training advantage, and is arguably the best pound-for-pound pro boxer in history (debatable but the point stands).

I see about a .5% chance of Paul getting a "lucky" shot in...Mayweather is just too good on defense and he's patient and well-paced in the ring.

Edit: yeah, Paul will need to make use of and take advantage of every ounce of weight and reach advantage he has...because I still see the skill level disparities as insurmountable for Paul to overcome.

Fight ended in a draw because neither fighter was knocked out.
(since it's exhibition, there's no judges)

but...

conspiracy theory?
/tinFoilHat

Are you.... are you suggesting that they possibly might have simply done with this for the massive amount of cash and it was all a stunt similar to pro-wresting?

NO. WAY!

Get out of town!

You're ridiculous!

Mayweather gave him props for lasting the entire 8 rounds, and I do too tbh. He's a bigger guy than Mayweather but I didn't think he'd have the conditioning for stamina and endurance.

I donno man.
The YouTubed certainly is bigger and appears younger.
Maybe Floyd is technically better in the ring to win by points but I’m not so sure of that.

He had to say something like that because there was very little entertainment or sporting value in the bout. Logan Paul fought like a guy who walked in off the street without any professional training whatsoever. Now they're suggesting Mayweather should face younger brother Jake Paul because $$$ .

The MW-McGregor bout was much different from yesterday's snoozer.

What happened with the Ochocinco fight?
Ochocinco got knocked down once but neither fighter got knocked out thus a tie because no judges because exhibition.

i'm shocked that Ochocinco didnt lose.
no idea what his boxing skill is but the mma guy he fought definitely had striking training
