Flying Coach. What do you prefer for your trips to England? British Airways? Virgin? Or an American carrior such as American or Delta?

Thanks.

The cheapest one. Air France still got you wasted the last time I was on it, but that might only be for return flights.

Not sure if Air France will do that kind of flight though now that I think about it... mabye as a positioning flight?

British Air had really good service the last time I was on it... but then I was small enough to get some flight wings so I'm the wrong one to ask

I have flyed round trip with British Airways two times to London. Both times were extremely pleasant for a 12-14 hour flight. They were always coming around with drinks and snacks and you had your own personal TV screen with about 20 various channels of movies, shows, etc to keep you entertained. Very good all around IMO.

Another vote for British Airways. Had a great time flying to/from Scotland.

Ditto. The one time I flew British Airways I loved it.

I would give Virgin a look and see how their price compares. I've heard good things about them. And I would think any international airline being better than the likes of Delta.

as long as its not United. They've got horrific food, non-attractive stewardesses, and shared TVs.

I fly whatever is cheapest. They pretty much all have personal TVs with On Demand material. It's just a flight where I'm probably going to sleep half the time. Why waste any more money than you have to?

Don't know much about Virgin, but British is highly recommended by my coworkers. Whenever they can, they choose it. And they fly international once a year.

I have only flown cheap US-based carriers. I really hate American these days, I would avoid them at all costs. I don't imagine United and Northwest are noticeably better.

UAL flies 772s on the JFK-LHR route and those have PTVs for each seat. Pretty much all airline food is prepared by the same caterer, so that arguement is silly.

I'll take your word for the JFK-LHR route. My experiences w/United were based on SFO-Asia, so it appears the customers get screwed there.

And it doesn't matter if the airline foods comes from the same vendor. There can be a difference between the meals the airlines chooses to serve, and UA ranks pretty low, IMO.

Any American airline is usually $hit (sorry people)
BA...is just as terrible.

Virgin FTW....
I fly coach with them when I go on trips ever year. I think the room is the same for all planes in coach, but the entertainment is usually great. They don't make you pay silly entertainment fees that I have had some American lines charge me for. Also they have lots of games to play.....last time I checked it was something like 50 super nintend games (that might have been upgraded by now). Anyways, as a full package, Virgin beats all American lines and BA without a doubt.

I flew American from JFK to Heathrow and it was a nice experience. Individual TVs, decent food, not too crowded, and a good price.
