is 10-23m ppd in windows, and 16-29m ppd in linux.

So I head its 20 to 25m ppd, but I am getting 12. Whats up with this ? My 3090TI's can get 10-11.

Do you have at least a full core set aside for the GPU? On some CPU projects even 1.5.. And if you do it could be many other issues. Such as RAM available, mainly drivers, power supply issue? Ect.

it has no cores running anything except this right now. I get 10-11 most of the time. I saw 23 once. First day running this, and windows. Maybe I should install linux and see.

Ready for a good laugh ? That was with the MS driver. I just loaded the nvidia driver and its doing 23m ppd right away. Will wait till a new unit loads and reply again later.

OK, I installed linux mint 20.3, and all was fine. Updated the video drivers and all was fine. Did the update, and now the screen is black . HELP !!!

And I updated the firmware to the latest using their tol, but it said "already updated" (this was from a windows boot)

Now in linux, how do I install an older driver if the screen is black !

OK, I figured it out. Do NOT use the 525-open drivers that it says are recommended, use the regular 525 drivers AFTER you have updated the video card firmware.

OK, now that its running, here is the weird part. In linux, I have been watching it for a while. Very consistent 16-17 m ppd, where windows was 10-23m ppd (averaging 16.5m ppd)

4090 is a monster with F@h quick return bonus! Varies some.... Anything CUDA for a consumer card does well. Though still seems to max at under 300 watts. It is designed as an all around consumer card, so CUDA is not its sole focus. For F@H at least it does 2x for the same power roughly as 3090ti, or so.

In other tasks it still is truly a double generation improvement with lithography, and smarter configuration!

New problem... Anybody else getting these 18449 units ? I get almost nothing else on my 4090, and its only doing 3 millkion ppd ? I have never seen it less than 12 or so before, and sometimes over 30m, but 3 ?????

Well forget that posty. Ever since the power went out its been hosed., I tried to update the drivers, and it rebooted, and now won't do anything. I Have to install linux from scratch.
