Fast food isn't making people fat. Excessive calories from carbohydrates is.
Stop eating snack foods and drinking soda/ juice and the problem is solved.
Oh and dressing is not a problem with salad. If you can't handle 120 calories you have problems elsewhere.

The low carb craze is just as silly, and dangerous as the low fat craze was.

If they got rid of fast food all together, then america would stop being the fattest nation. Now how to get rid of the nations ignorance??
How about we get rid of your ignorance, first?
The explosion in obesity rates does not correlate with the popularity of fast food. The obesity epidemic started 20 years after fast food became very common and popular.
Nope, the one cultural change obesity correlates with is the advent of cable/sat TV, video games, and the Internet. And what do people do when they sit on their asses all day? They MUNCH.
So while snacking and snack foods are a problem, the lack of activity is the main problem that leads to weight gain, AND overeating.
Active people are not only thin because they are active, but because you can't eat or munch while you're being physically active. They eat less because they are moving more.
This mindless blaming of fast food, or ANY food for obesity is much like blaming guns for crime. Not only is it wrong, it's ignorant of history and the facts.

Where are most of those calories coming from?
I didn't say "everybody needs to be on Atkins".
Also how is low carb dangerous.

What about an execrice pyramid? Physical activity (or the lack thereof) is likely just as much at blame, yet food choices get all the headlines. It seems the current physical activity pyramid for most kids is:
-0 servings strenuous physical activity
-1 serving moderate physical activity (inadvertently breaking a sweat doing 'light' work)
-2 servings light physical activity (i.e., actual walking to/from places)
-352 servings sitting on your butt watching TV, playing video games and surfing the web.

Do they still do PE? We used to have PE every year, then in about 8th grade, they just stopped making us do it. I say that kids need one hour of good, solid PE every school day from K-12.

Low fat and low carb diets are harder to maintain than simply eating right and exercising. Fad diets fail miserably and dieters end up fatter than they were when they started.
Yo-yo dieting is one of the major causes of obesity. Normally chubby people who yo-yo diet end up fatter each time, and will, after time, cross into obesity.
