I'm eating an Adobada Quesdilla from Albertos right now, I 1st had Adobada towards the end of last year. It's Spanish for marinated meat. It's usually pork, but you'll sometimes see it made with Chicken or Asada. It's typically marinated and cooked in a red chili sauce, the few places I've had it, it's not spicy at all. But holy fuck it has a lot of flavor. I grew up in So Cal and have eaten lord knows how much Mexican food over the past 35 years. The 1st time I had Adobada I almost shit myself. I had never even heard the word before I tried it at that taco stand last year.

I don't see it on the menu at many Mexican places, which is probably a big reason I never tried it as a teen. Right now with each bite there's red sauce literally dripping out of this Quesdilla. SO FUCKING GOOD!

Guacamole/Avacodo - Hated them as a kid and can't get enough of them now.
Corned Beef - Dear god yes.
Indian Food - Was never really exposed to it as a child - there's a family run buffet right by my place that is absolutley amazing.
Pho - need I say more?
Hummus - peanut butter from the heavens
Sushi - the though of raw fish appauled me as a kid, but now I can't get enough of it.

I grew up in a very Irish household in the middle of the midwest. In my house "ketchup" was considered a way to spice things up and if you wanted any seasoning you had your choice of salt or black pepper.

So yeah...I didn't experience really *anything* remotely interesting until I moved out and was in my early/mid 20's. Chinese food, Indian food, spicy Thai dishes, Sushi, ect.
