I've been doing tons of research this winter on what pair of running shoes I'm going to buy for this spring. I'm just taking up running and I know that having the right pair of shoes is critical. There are many different foot types (high/low arch, pronations, ect.) and you need the right shoe for your foot. If you are going to seriously run, NEVER buy a pair of shoes based on its looks. You will probably wind up with shin splints or messed up knees in about 1 month. I've found tons of helpful info at
Runner's World. They have a great section called "Shoes 101" that you should read. They also have a "Shoe Finder" that will find the right type of shoe for you. You can then read reviews that people have written about the shoe you are interested in. Also,
Road Runner Sports has a ton of user reviews for their shoes.
I've decided that the right shoe for me is New Balance's
1022. Footlocker has this shoe online, but not B&M. I'm going to try it on tonight at another store, then order from Footlocker using this sweet coupon!
