I am a huge Mustang fan and I thought I should share this find with anyone else that like Mustangs too.
I was browsing ebay and found this person selling a Roush intake for the 5.0 liter. This intake has be disconntinued for over
8 years now and you can't find them anymore. I emailed him directly and asked him if he had any more intakes for sale
and he said he did.

This really isn't a deal or anything but just a find that I wanted to share.

Ehh for that price the Ford branded SVO would be a better bet...hell for $850 you could get a lot more performance for your money than just an intake. ANd is this just an intake or an intake manifold?

Funny when somebody offers up an "extremely rare" item, and two of them are in current ebay auctions. One is apparently a new complete kit from ram air intake and filter, throttle body, and upper and lower manifolds, but missing a couple bits and brackets. The other auction is for a chromed unit pulled off some car.

From what I can see about them, I am not so sure I would want them even if the price was reasonable,, which it isn't. Big port designs like this one often show nice top end HP numbers, but actually drop low end HP and torque due to the much lower air velocity. Also I think this setup is for just 94/95 Mustangs, and they are saying fits on the earlier models "easily", yeah right, how easily and more important are they CARB legal (Ca smog rules).

For a 5.0 Mustang you'd be much better off with a Holley Systemax or Trickflow intake. It'll cost half of what the Roush one does, too.

Actually, you'd be better off getting a Chevy.

Last time I went to the track on Oahu on a Run What you Brought Night in my old 62 SS Impala 409 Convertible, there was a guy there with his new Mustang, polishing all the chrome on his "hot" engine. Said he had 7 grand into it.

As chance had it, we were paired up on one of my runs. Blew his doors off. Running on street tires, through the mufflers, ran 13.33 at 99.

Not sure what the broken down horse ran, but it was pretty sad.

btw, I sold the Chevy and now have a '78 Ford pickup.

Ain't life strange......

Say, have you heard about the head-on collision between a Mustang and a Thunderbird? All they could fine was horse sh*t and feathers

yeah just because it's old and extremely rare it doesn't mean it's a better performer. Though in their day they were.
