Im thinking about getting a new tattoo. Im 22 now and I got my first one when I was 18. It is the art from the cover of the Sublime album ?Forty Ounces to Freedom? and it is on my left shoulder. Im getting really bored of that and think that it is time for a new one. Any suggestions?

check out the website of where i go to get tattoos and maybe get some ideas.

make sure your tattooist draws up the design him/herself and doesn't just copy some flash art... don't know about you but i'd prefer to get a tattoo that i KNOW i won't be seeing on other people just cuz they picked out the same piece i did

Did not think that there were a lot of us left, seems like everyone I ask does not remember the band unless I sing What I Got. To bad that they seem like a one hit wonder.... they had some really good stuff.

It wasn?t too bad getting mine. Its kinda big so it took about three hours to finish. They say the most painful places to get one is on the ankle. Mines on my shoulder so it really did not hurt until he got to the top part of the shoulder while using the outlining needle (its like twice the size of the needles they use to fill it in.) You have any ideas on what your gonna get?

If I were you I would not chose a tattoo from looking at flash then it is not orginal go to the artis and have him draw you one then no one else with have the same tattoo

i have quite a large tattoo on my back.

when they're tattooing right on the spine, it kinda burns a lil bit, but besides that it kinda tickles.

The guy that gave me mine said that you sorta get addicted to tattoos. He said that about 90% of the people he gives one to will come back and get at least 1-2 more. I want another so I guess it is true in my case. How about everyone else? After you got your first how soon did you want your second or third?

Regarding the tattoo, I'd say try to stay with the "motif" if you will. No, I don't mean getting all band tattoos, but go with the look of your first. I've got a hodge podge of them and having a helluva time trying to "connect" them all, if you get my meaning.

oh, didn't see your "initials" question. I have a chinese character on my right arm. My advice is don't worry so much about the ethnicity, but the guy doing it. I got mine from Sunset Strip Tattoo in Hollywood (Eric). He does the awesome "brush stroke" look. Don't get one too small so it just looks like it was penciled on. Go big and get the brush look. Killer..
