Im not willing to take the risk because it doesn't physically lower your temperature, it just fixes the reading that asus adds to temp.

on the asus A7V133 I tried the temp change and found no temp change after 20min so I rebooted and reset the registry...that my 2 cents

I am using the hacked bios now, lower my idle temp from 50C>34C! No sound corruption on my duron system, no stability problem, no problems AT ALL. The thing that author did is to enable the two greyed-out option enable by default.
No report on fail up to this point, check the comments here.

Worth to give a try IMO.

as soon as i purchase a bios savior and install it i am going to test it also. not daring enough to try it without a back up. one simple way to see if this is working or not is to touch the heatsink. that will be your proof

It really low down the temperature, not only the reading, you can touch the heatsink and feel that.
