For doctors... What was your MCAT score?

I am going to take it in about 4 years and I was wondering how hard it is.

What was your score? And if you ever took a standardized IQ test, what was your score? Please mention the name of the test.

IQ has nothing to do with your performance on the MCAT. I've met some of the dumbest, most pathetically asinine, and complete lack of intellectual capacity idiots in the medical field. They typically call them surgeons, but every once in awhile a fvcker from Oncology will sneak in with the same credentials. My advice, study, use Kaplan or similar review and study. Sure, there are those with natural abilities that don't need to study or us a Review Program, but then there are those that want in a top 100 program too.

BTW, forums.studentdoctor.net or .com. Can't remember, but I'm sure google will.

Anyways. ALWAYS AIM for the highest possible, that way you will always do better if even if you don't get a perfect score!

I just did a statistical analysis. The rarity of a perfect score, 45, according to MCAT is 1 out of 1400. This is based on a mean of 24.6 and a SD of 6.4.

About 62,000 people take the MCAT each year. So, only about 44 people should get a perfect score.

I want to get into the University of Washington. The average score is 32 for students admitted into UofW. Which is about the 88th percentile of MCAT examinees.

Within the realm of possibility is a vastly broad statement. But like you said, work hard, and it's possible. Grab the review books, take a course, do practice tests till you wanna vomitt, then do some more. That's what I'm doing right now.

i got a 12P 12V 11B and O on writing.

i just got accepted into a master's program at Mt Sinai Medical School.

so hopefully i'll enter med school in 2007

Right, until you realize that your app gets tossed as they fall over laughing at your low scores. You've gotta get the interview, which means you've gotta have the scores.
