To have it shipped to him you have to add his address as an alternate ship-to address to your credit card by calling the credit card company (the number on the back of the card). The card will not get approved on authorization if you don't do this, as this is a security measure that credit card companies take to help prevent credit card theft/fraud.

I only know this because I am in college and my card's primary address is my parent's houst in Houston and I had to get the alternate ship-to address to my apartment in Huntsville since I live there during the school year.

Yea, I have the retail game case in front of me right now and it's not just one disc. My guess is maybe it's a dvd holding the game instead of cds like from the retail version. (If so, MUCH less of a hassle/annoyance to install! )

I just called the number for the customer service because I couldn't get my tracking number from the website, and the guy on there knew my name, shipping info, and everything before I told him anything other than I was calling because I had ordered the EPP Bundle. I thought that was weird, like Miss Cleo and her psychic hotline if it really was true (HA!) weird. Do the have caller ID that all the info can be received from? I figure it would be easy if they did, I just never have had any customer service line that I have called before actually do it that way without me giving them my name or anything....

Okay I don't wanna have four in a row so here's an edit. I just received a reply email from AMD telling me the processor is based on the NEWCASTLE core, so it is NOT the Clawhammer core. Just thought I'd let everyone know!
I hate receiving info in 5 minute intervals so I keep having to repost.....

I just ordered Thursday in the AM, sometime around 11 or so. I called the 888 number and got the tracking info and it will be here Monday. I also just used UPS ground, so that is very fast shipping for ground. Now all I need is some RAM and a HD and I am in business.

And the Newcastle thing is kinda a bummer, they are very similar in everyday proformance, but heck, i wanted to brag about having 1meg o' L2.

a 3200+ newcastle should be 2.2ghz because a 3000+ newcastle is 2.0ghz....the clawhammer 3200+ is 2.0ghz....if indeed it is a newcastle 3200+ it will handily outperform a 3200+ clawhammer......why are you complaining?

One quick thing, how can you tell if you have single or dual side memory? From what I have read about the board you need single sided memory for at least 2 of the memory sockets? Is this true?

how long does it take to update your status on retailaccess.com? I signed up today, and the status says pending in retailaccess. I was able to log onto the AMD portion and take the quizzes etc. I havent ordered yet though as im also waiting to hear what I need to do since im going to order with someone elses credit card. I emailed them as well, ill post it here as soon as i get a reply.

I'm not sure your status with retailaccess matters with this deal. I was able to order (though I haven't yet). Then all you need to do is fill out the rebate.

uhhh what? the 3200 newcastles should out perform the 3200 clawhammers by a bunch guys... the claw hammes perform practically the same as the 3000 newcastles so a 3200 newcastle should be pretty close to as fast as a 3400+ As with AMD cache seems to make very little difference other than not allowing itto OC as high and a waste of money for AMD. with clock speed boosts you should se much more speed and reduced cache so make VERY litte difference in performance, but it should be able to OC highier and perform better. But if all you really want is to be able to say you have a chip with 1meg cache? but performs slower? uhhhh okay.... GL though

To both of the above:

From what I've read, straight out of the box (no oc'ing or anything) the Clawhammer outperforms the Newcastle by roughly 5% and was considered a better overclocker as well. Recent reviews and news has shown that the Newcastles are actually the better overclockers. The performance difference overall is not nearly as large as you make it out to be, given the difference in core clock speed and L2 Cache size.

Don't sound like such a smart@$$ when you talk, cuz if you've read my posts from before the one you're responding to, I've already said all the crap you've said.

I frankly didn't care after I had found the info out before y'all quoted me, but IMO I would have preferred the Clawhammer because of the fact that you can get it running like the Opteron of the comparable level. When it comes to gaming there's a fat chance you'll see any big differences between the two processors.

Read all the damn posts before you talk, you might sound less ignorant....

You send in your paystub and mark out all the imp. info like your social and amount you've made and whatnot and they verify you within a day. When I sent mine it it was at midnight and the next morning by 9 am I was verified. You don't need to be verified to get in on this deal though, just for the not for resale deals that they offer (ie: ALL Symantec products... very nice....).

Interesting. I sent in for one of the Drive Image 7 deals, within 24 hours of receiving my fax(paystub for the software) the status changed from unverified to verified.

Looks pretty much like what Christbx did.
