Well 6 people here at my store got calls and verified yesterday. Also today I got my missing product key in the mail today as well...came to my work address since that is where i had my bundle shipped to.

Just got notified it shipped, so they're coming off backorder.

This is on an order placed Friday when they showed in stock, but I was notified the next day of the 1-2 week wait.

It ended up being just inside a week.

Hey I just got my code. How much did your friend pay for the shipping, duties, taxes and stuff like that? My shipping cost was $22us, insane and I hate UPS. I hope they don't charge brokage fees too.

I have a question:

How does this package come together? Does it come all assembled with a heatsink and all? I haven't ever done this deal in the past years. If not, is it easy to install? I haven't ever installed a processor before =[. But I have done everything else.

The CPU comes apart from the HS/fan. I haven't done a P4 before, but a couple P3's I've done were brutally difficult to attach to their respective HS/fan's. Not fun.

But I've been reading that the fan that comes with the P4 sounds a little louder than a jet aircraft, so I'll probably be swapping it out for another.

actually, they come all separately boxed (processor, motherboard and the software) now i haven't gotten this year's yet, so i can't speak of it, but last year's 2.53 wasn't any trouble, as a matter of fact, it's easier than any other socket A hs/f that i've ever installed.... all you've gotta do is lift this little lever up, set the processor in, close the lever and then set the heatsink(which has the fan attached to it) on top of the processor in the little frame built into the motherboard, and then close two more levers to tighten the hs/f against the processor, then you plug in the fan to the motherboard and continue to hook everything else to the mobo... and there you go...

Ok here is the deal, currently the processor is 270 dollars, with a 129 dollar motherboard and a 269 dollar operating system. They could call your store and give you the code in a year and this deal would be work under half. So no worries in that dept.
