Last time they had a online form (after completing the challanges) that you printed and had it signed by your manager. then sent it along with your paystub (dated within 2 wks of start of the promotion).

They verify your employment through corporate and in about 6-8 wks they mail u the confirmation code and the web site to order from.

The whole process takes upto three months. Expect to see your stuff in mid january.

I would say expect to see your codes within a month of them recieving your paystub. Only then will you actually be able to purchase any of the goods. Probably will see the actual merchandise late nov. early dec.

Time is going to depend on if they have to manually verify everyone like last year due to the amount of fraud on the deal. I would guess that is going to happen again so expect a bit of a delay. Will not know for sure until the deal goes live.

This guy is correct. My current computer came from this deal last year and I didn't get my stuff till early January. So, I wouldn't expect this for a xmas present anytime soon. They took the applications till 10-25 and it took about one and a half months to process them and send out cards. Then another 2 weeks to get the goods.

C'mon, why are retail employees only eligible for this (and the other MS deal)? It'd be great if such offers could be extended to those who could use the whole package fully (e.g. researchers ). Probably half of the machines that get upgraded with this deal will only be used for web surfing, playing games, and/or simple document processing. Is a 3.0GHz CPU really needed for this?

Quit your whining, and get a job in retail. How come car lot employees get great discounts on cars and we dont, just cause.

I agree.

If it is BB, lets just say I know how he feels

And the reason this deal only applies to people in retail computer depts. is that intel (and microsoft, for their deal) want these people to get all gitty inside about their products so they will push them harder on sales. I dont see it helping them much to reward tv salesmen, besides I happen to know for a fact that Home Theater guys get promo deals all the time for stuff from great companies like Sony, JBL, Bose and more. So stop whining if you arent elegible and do us a favor and dont try to apply.

Hate to tell you this, but those accomodations from home theater depts, apply to EVERYONE in the store. So anyone in any dept, whether it be home theater, or the inventory crew...can get the Sony, JBL, Bose.. directv...xm..etc accomodations. Its not hard to see a plasma tv attached to an intel system...either.. Most salesmen in bby can sell more than one department worth of product.
