havnt been following the thread, but a co-worker's card got charged, then intel refunded the amount. ...anyone know what might be going on there?

i wasn't too clear on my last post. i emailed them saying when will these stuff be ready to ship and off backorder and the reply was early next week. my status is still backorder too. i ordered on the 24th.

Let me start off by saying good luck to those of you who are waiting for codes. They apparently rejected me at first. I got one of those 'sorry we could not verify your employment'. I emailed them back and just gave up. About 2 weeks later they emailed me back saying congrats, on the second try they verified me. Got my code and ordered, but it's on back order. Oh well, they said 1-2 weeks.

Damn just checked my Fleet Debit card statement online and looks like they hit me with a $220 charge already even though it's backordered. Maybe debit cards don't have a 'hold' feature? Oh well guess I can't go and rush out and buy Terminator 3 and other DVDs on Tuesday now. =(

yeah, great case... that's what i got last year for the 2.53 bundle, and as soon as i get verified, it'll be the home of the new 3.0

although, the only difference between the AMG model is the paint (maybe the psu too)... at first i thought it was kinda like the same AMG that modifies Benz's, but all it stands for is Antec Metallic Gray, as in the paint they use...

anyways... good case, there's nothing like the build quality of an antec

Here is what it says now:

it seems like the status will just back and forth between saying that.. and saying backordered. I bet the next time u look it will say backordered again

It's a hot looking board and gets rave reviews! A super OC friendly mobo.

I will be using my Corsair 3200 (2x256(dual channel) for the time being... but will eventually upgrade them to pc4000's or at least pc3500's so i can OC the chip and run syncronous!

I am sorry but I have to remark to a few people making a big deal about selling some of the stuff from
this bundle. I cannot believe how absolutely crazy upset people are getting about this. I am getting a bundle,
I already have 3 copies of xp pro, and plan on using the ABIT MAX-3 board like many others.

So does that mean I should smash the copy of xp and burn the 865 motherboard??

Intel wants us to be knowledgeable
about the product. But if you buy something from a store at a discount from a coupon or clearance, does
that mean that if you sell that for a little profit that you should be stoned in the streets?? I love
intel processors(Unlike many of my friends) and will continue to use and support their products.
But that doesn't mean that I HAVE to use their board and use a copy
of XP that I own and am already using.

I am sure this will absolutely disgust some of you, and I am the anti-christ, I am not looking
to get into a big debate I just think people need to chill out.

I think intel's primary goals are to make us more educated and bring more enthusiasm for their products..... yup, it's working!!

I know all about their stuff now... this definitely has made me study their motherboards, chipsets and their cpu's more!!

I can understand people being mad at others selling all their stuff for strictly profit.... but I think overall it's working out pretty good for intel.

but anywayz.... I hope today is the day!! ship, ship, ship away intel!!

I don't think anyone is upset that people are selling the part of the bundle they won't use. I think people, myself included are upset about those
people who order this kit to sell on ebay. Their are many people who are planning on actually using this bundle that still waiting for their codes
and bundles, yet many of these ebayers already have theirs. If you don't need the Xp or Motherboard thats fine with me, its just the ebayers of the
entire bundles makes me angry because I am still waiting like many of you.

I am mainly referring to a post I made earlier asking if the copy of XP Pro was retail
or not for resell. And someone responded to that post:

"thanks to people like that might not make this deal available next year. People like you disgust me."

I don't think that I am doing anything wrong and I am certaintly not out to disgust anybody. I
don't believe that Intel bases their decisions to run these promotions on whether or not
we keep every item or not.

Truthfully I don't have much of an opinion on those selling the entire kit. A guy I am working with
is doing the same thing. I really think Intel is smart enough to know that some people would do
that. If it was such a big problem. They could easily put the stuff in some sort of "not-for-resell" boxes.
but they didn't which leads me to believe that Intel doesn't care if some people sell it or not.

It has been years since I put an Intel system together, as I have been using AMD processors for quite some time.
What memory is recommended for this mobo? Plan to put in 512mb. Any other things I should be aware of? Plan to use hard drive, GeForce 4 video card and CD-RW out of an AMD system. My son may use end up using it as a gaming machine.
