In all honesty, I truly love the RS4 and I?d be hard pushed to make a decision between the two.

Eight butterfly valves? Ouch.

I hope the pics of the exhaust system are from some type of stress test. I'd hate to have that kind of heat under the hood.

ITBs are not odd, but it seems like they wrung as much HP as they could while still keeping emissions down. I bet a new, catalytic converter-less, exhaust is about all that helps power.

All M tech cars use an individual throttle body per cylinder.

The problem with the M3 will be weight. It's gotten more and more bloated over the years -- the best being the E30 and E36 M3s. The E46 was a pig, and this car will be no different.

Too bad most people just enjoy the power rather the precision that the M-cars USED to offer.

It's why I sold my E46 M3 soon after I bought it ... handled like a turd compared to much cheaper cars, although it was a lot faster in a straight line.

I guess you have to be a 'certain kind' of driver to appreciate handling over power nowadays.

Sounds like you need an S2000. Also, the E36 M3 isn't exactly light at 3200lbs.
