Damm, thats exactly was I thought with the money I have now.
I bought a car that just SCREAM......RICED ME !!!!
When I started having money saved again, I bought altezza, intakes, etc... for the car.
I was planing out body kits, stereo systems, the whole work but for some reason I came to my senses.

I am actually working toward buying a house so thats my goal there.
Its easy to save money when you're working toward a goal.(A sensible one that is).
Also, the easiest way to save money is to WORK ALL THE TIME......you won't have time to spend money.

I've found that to be quite true.

Back in the day when I had 2 jobs, I never had time to spend my money. Just save, save, save.

I get my check direct deposited. I only see a receipt. If I actually had a check in my hand, they would be cashed and immediately spent. But usually, when I get a decent amount of money saved up this way, it usually gets spent on college bills, and other expenses.

i dunno i was raised to make sure i had that money , in case some sort of business oppurtunity, disaster or something else came up.



then again i was also raised to risk money in the stock market and lose it. i rarely spend much money on consumables though.

willpower also works. then again for graduation i bought a $430 lcd panel. but its a rare large purchase for me.

Man I just found out that I'm getting a really bad pay cut. I'm getting $10.00 an hour and it's going to be cut to $6.00 an hour + commision (which we rarely ever get due to not making our quota).

hmm, i think minimum wage in Cali is more than 6 an hour...

minimum in cali is $6.75 actually. and barely anyone gets the absolute minimum. you are getting screwed if they are saying commisions will make up for the 75 cents an hour if you barely ever get commision. you might as well work at office depot or anywhere else.

Invest in funds. At least its more of a hassle to retrieve the money since you have to go through the process of selling. At the same time, you're saving for your retirement

I have money put into company stock. There's about $7k there and its basically for a rainy day.

true that. My unskilled fiancee makes more money than that as a counter girl at a dry cleaners (8.50, which is defacto poverty in NY). Time to change employers and probably fields.
