for those post-undergraduates... if you could go back to undergrad, what would you do differently?

Dual majored and used up all my financial aid that was offerred. I was so in a hurry to get graduated.

I would be more involved in student organizations.
I would study harder and get better grades.

It took me the first 2 years of college to loosen up and get outgoing enough to enjoy the last 2+ years. Oh how I'd love to have had my current personality back then.

Education-wise, I probably would've skipped the whole pre-med thing, which also took up a lot of time those first two years, and went straight to what is now my current degree - comp. sci.

Having more research experience, working directly with prof's so they knew me one on one. You're going to shoot yourself once you graduate and realize your stellar 4.0 major gpa is absolutely worthless to a grad school admission committee if you don't have solid letters of rec's from fully tenured prof's. Have more than one prof in your eye as well, in case one of them dies, leaving you with zero educational letters of rec that are worth anything.
