Get someone to help you re-read what I wrote -- I never said govtcheez75 was going to hell...I was worried about Dowfen, who explicitly stated that he would prefer to practice gluttony (a dealy sin) rather than wish for justice to occur. People who cannot make these simple judgment calls are doomed to make additional mistakes in life that go against biblical teachings -- and so I was just worried he'd end up in Hell. As for you, I'm worried that you will contribute to the intellectual decline on AT because you obviously are incapable of reading and understanding simple language.

Oh, you're welcome, but I don't think I've taken it too far at all. I think it is highly appropriate to wish that justice is done to someone who deserves it. Don't you believe that people should get what they deserve? Or do you think people who behave unethically should be rewarded? On the other hand, you stated that you would rather hoard 10 mice to yourself...which is explicitly prohibited as one of the seven deadly sins. It seems that if you frequently make such rash judgments like that, you'll land yourself in Hell before you know it. I also notice that you find this hardly constructive -- I think it is very constructive. It gives members of the forum the opportunity to explain to others what "fair share" means, and to demonstrate what can happen to people who don't play fair. Yes...this is what I do in my spare time. Make up stories about how many friends need laptop mice. Did you read the whole story? I happen to go to a business school working to get my MBA. I have a similar laptop mouse, and everytime I use it, my friends always comment on how they would like one. I've heard it on MORE than 10 occassions. (shocking, isn't it?) They are admittedly not "Tech-savvy" and would never stumble upon websites such as this where deals like this are posted. Instead of guiding them all to the CompUSA site, and not knowing when they would be able to order these for themselves...I took it upon myself to order 10 to give to them. I only had to pay $9.40 (for express shipping), which was not a big deal. I would gladly give my friends a $1 a piece. I guess I'm a terrible person, blah blah blah. I've heard it all from half of you. I think the other half knows exactly where I'm coming from. I in no way intended on making a profit from this. If I did...I think I would have ordered more than 10, since they were advertised as FREE. For all you people that are calling me names, and think that I deserve what I got...it's a free country. Think what you will. I would just like to add that if I had any left over that my immediate friends did not want (which was unlikely) I would have posted on here and asked if anyone wanted one. I have done this before, and someone can vouche for me.

I'm sure that nothing I say will change your minds, and you can think what you will. Rest assured that this is rather discouraging to post something that was supposed to be helpful. Ok dude, I believe that your situation is unique. You have to understand though that the average AT member who buys 10 of pretty much anything is definately NOT buying them for friends. Hope your situation works out.

compusa are a bunch of idiots is wat i think .who inthere right mind comes up with an idea to give these mouses for free after instant online rebate and doesnt give you a limit per person.selling in the store is one thing but online ,you could order more than what the store would have in stock .then they go charging you more than 5 bucks a mouse when they had advertised that there price was 5dollars per mouse. they screwed up big time .and one more thing it also said that each product will be sold on a first come first serve basis.so buy it all if you could ,thats the fun of deal and bargain huntin!!!

I don't think any of us can really know what is going to happen with your order...at least not yet. Personally, I don't need the headache, so I've already asked them to cancel my order. Hopefully they will.

Actually ordering 10 mouses is not unethical in the slightest. Perhaps in your opinion, maybe...but to order 10 mice with the intent to pass on the benefits to others? Not unethical. And definitely not "shafting 9 other people out of your own self-interest." From what I see, myself and govtcheese, as well as a few other people who made small orders (yes, 10 is small, as I've heard stories of people ordering 100s, if not 1000s!), *are* looking out for others. The others just don't happen to be *you*, which is funny, considering how you trumpet the poor ATer who couldn't get in on this deal and got shafted, when it appears you'd have gladly ordered one yourself.
