First, ValsalvaYourHeartOut.. Kudos to you sir! Kudos! As someone who didnt get a free mouse, I applaud your efforts to punish those unsavory types ordering 10 mouses. Its times like these that I think our great country of Amerika is going down the drain. For SHAME govt. cheese! FOR SHAME!

Second, grow up. 10 mice? 10 fricken mice and you think its right that he got charged wrong? Do you not live in America? Land of capitalism and whatnot? I'm not saying those who order 50-100 or more and are gonna ebay them aren't abusers but hey.. its a deal and there were no stipulations by Compusa (at least not on the surface..their TOS/rules may get them off the hook anyway..rightfully so IMO too.). Ya snooze, ya lose, get in on the next deal if you want to make some cash. Anyway, who the hell buys mice off of ebay? EBAY for a mouse!? Yeah, I'm gonna spend $10 + shipping for a mouse off of ebay that may or may not work vs getting one from a store today for $15 or 20 with an ability of recourse to get my cash back if the product is a non-working POS. I guess I just don' t get the whole "equal right to get a free mouse" idea.. we aren't talking about inalienable rights or the right to live free or work to get food to fill yer tummy. 10 fricking mice! 10!! No, it's not right that he got charged wrongly, but it is pretty funny from my standpoint. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and that especially holds true in America.

I don't want to make cash. I wanted a mouse. I'm not pissed because I didn't get to capitalize on this deal, I'm pissed that by 10 o'clock in the morning, I couldn't get one mouse, to use for myself, not to sell, giveaway, break, or let sit and collect dust.

Just as all you people were laughing because they got the mouses and other people didn't, I'm laughing because you guys are having this happen to you. Sure, it's not fair, per se, but again, from my viewpoint, it's hilarious. It's almost worth not getting a mouse. Almost.

Will you guys cut it out? I'm running out of Kleenex, and I could barely get to sleep last night, knowing that some of you didn't get to buy one of these stupid mice. Poor you, Ness. What a horrible, HORRIBLE world it is where people can only get free mice if they stay up past midnight. I was being a smarta** by saying "mouses", I usually use the term "mice" when I rarely refer to more than one computer "mouse". Which on reflection seems odd.. "its the attack of the killer mouses! Quite true. It is amusing to a point (ie, I bet you wouldn't be too happy if they charged you $10 bucks for it instead of free) but I feel you should get over your sour grapes. You aren't gonna get in on every deal- nature of the beast and all that, another will come along and I'll add in I didnt get in on it either.. I was sleeping at the time (which I value more than a free mouse )

IMHO, cheez should also realize, companies make mistakes, and cards get overcharged.. watch yer limit more carefully next time? Price of using the credit card sometimes and it is ironic that it happened on a free deal. Doesnt mean he shouldnt call in and complain (I'd do it nicely tho..more flies with honey..)

Well, I was going to quote some of the more vehement messages, but since there are so many, I'll just reply.

All of you complaining that the greedy "ruined" this deal for you are A) wasting your breath B) lazy.

In the final analysis, you are an outside observer. You are not entitled to this deal any more than govtcheeze is. If he beat you to it, sucks to be you. If CompUSA says no limit, then he has every right to order as many mice as he wants to.

This is America. For those of you without the benifit of our free educational system, that means that capitalism (profit), is both expected and encouraged from all its citizens.

And I'm really suprized that a mod hasn't locked this yet. Was a good first post to let everyone know that CrapUSA was going to fraudentally charge everyone's card more than they should, but it descended into a flamefest.

If you didn't get a mouse, get over it. There will be plenty more hot deals.
