This was my best timeslip tonight:

This was my first day on the new tires. They're a LOT stickier, but I'm still not really used to them. I kept bogging when I launched. With more practice I can probably coax high 12's out of it.

Your mph, however, should hopefully put you into the high 12s once you get more used to driving on these tires at the track. (And also get a chance to tweak and tune the car.) Please keep us posted!

Is that stock intake extrude honed or anything? Are you running a stock cam & heads? There is a lot more in that combo. If you come to Houston I'll port the heads for you if they are stock, well even if they are not. You ought to look into a Twisted Wedge intake to get some more airflow into that puppy. Those 60 foot times are much better than last time...good job.

heads, intake, and cam are all totally stock. In fact, they've never even been taken off the motor.

Um.... less than 5 seconds, I'd guess.

As far as LS1s, it's up to the driver of the LS1. Some people who can drive them real good can run 12.9 or 13.0 in them, people who can't drive as well sometimes won't even break into the 13s.

The tires are BF Goodrich Drag Radials.

Anything over 100 Mph in the 1/4 is getting good. Friend has a 71 Cuda with a 340 in it and can hit 101 or so last time I talked to him. Not bad in a car that weighs as much as it does.

It only takes about 101 to run high 12's, so you have some good potential there.


Now you should try launching at higher rpm's. That will help more than anything at this point.

That ole dragrace bug tries to get me again ever once in awhile but I keep dodging it.
I did, however keep my 375 horse heads off my last GM project so I guess I still have
it in the back of my mind to get into it again.
