There are some threads that mention NEW computers with this, but this is for those who got in on the price mistake..
1-800-624-9897 ext 66966
Call them up, and tell them you saw their new ad, and politely would like a pricemistake.. er pricematch.

You can get..
Current Promos
A wireless keyboard and mouse (see link
DELL A920 ALL IN ONE PRINTER AND Kodak EASYSHARE CX6230 DIGITAL CAMERA (Froogle's lowest price:$130) Pricematch Printed ad.
$30+ off your order as consolation prize.

The responces:
We don't pricematch promotions!
We need an Evalue code!
Please wait.. You will be compensated, here is your order #.

I got this on the printer/camera deal on the second try. some at FW have gotten the 20th time. Keep calling!
And don't accept what you don't get what you want! The next CSR will see the "new order".
Got in at 2 pm today.. and this won't void your MIRs as their ad says stackable!

Good luck.

I wish I had jumped on that. Could have easily sold it for $350 at work.

I don't get it? Will Dell honor this current promotion on the previous order, (ie. free printer, wireless keyboard, etc.)?

Just got both!! read the posts at f@t purse. Many many people got it, many people did not. It's a gamble again, just like getting the reabtes for the 2400. Keep calling cs until one agrees.

"i called the number on the back of the catalog, 1-800-232-8541
the catalog has a code of 041130.
the offer is on one of those stupid cards stapled in the middle of the catalog (between pages 8 & 9)
and the exact text is :
"Purchase a Dimension 2400 or Inspiron
1100 and receive a FREE Dell A920 Printer
(an $89 value) and a FREE Kodak
EasyShare CX6200 2-Megapixel Digital
Camera (a $129 value)."

quote takin' from another post, credit goes to OP

i called and the CSR offers either the printer or the camera. i tried to play the "price protection" card, however, the CSR said it only applies to identical systems. i politely implied that i could configure an identical system right now. he rebutted that i could, but i would not have a $200 MIR. hmm... good point. so i caved in... happy that i could get free stuff. he gave me a cx6330

ehh, I've tried twice so far, they say these offers are new, change every week, and are not applicable to my purchase.

I can hear the tone of their voice change from the calm friendly tone when they answer to a stressed defensive(but polite) tone when I tell them why I am calling, I let them say what they have to say and I asked about pricematching, they said that applies to the system cost and not promos.

if someone could point me to a rep who is familiar with the promo deal I would appreciate it.

how about a option choice map, option 1 then 2 then 3 etc.

Don't settle for less than both, keep calling.. the next CR may be the one!
Yes, the credit goes to the FW OP.. This post is a compilation of two different threads there.

1.800.915.3355-->1-->66966-->1-->4-->2 Keep trying!

I got the $200 deal and I'm skipping this. I already got a decent PC dirt cheap and Dell didn't seem to put up much resistance at all about the 2 rebates.

It really doesn't matter to me if other people do this.

I am still mad about Dell not honoring the 4600 deal a few weeks ago. It seems they will honor all there other mistakes.

if you feel you are stealing from dell, consider this: the OEM manufactorers of the motherboards and cases are making them in mainland china in essentially slave-like conditions. the CPUs are intels only which means they are fabbed in juarez mexico, israel, ireland or where cheap labor can be had. the monitors are mostly made in korea where workers are currently striking so they can make more than $1 a hour. the computers are assembled in taiwan by mostly girls under the age of 18 living in dormatories of a factory. the computers are serviced by indian (from india) phone operators--turns out it is cheaper to employ brain-dead indians and pay international phone charges (IP telephony, gotta love it) instead of brain-dead americans in a call center. hell, even their collection agents are indians! basically the only americans involved in the whole transaction are the actors who play the phone operators on their "apple-pie" television ads. other than that bull-crap, it is all southeast asian slave labor. so don't worry, dell has been stealing from you and the american workforce for years already.

First I got the $30, next call I got the printer, 3rd call I got the camera. Just for the heck of it, call again, and they said I can have lunch with Mike and he will personally offer me a million in company stock. I will be having a very nice holiday.

The systems are assembled in Tennessee and Texas for the US market. Anyways, 2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do.

"Depends." All Dell notebooks are made by two large Taiwanese notebook manafacturers. None of them are made in the US. Ditto for Compaq, Gateway, etc. The only manafacturers still assembling their own notebooks are IBM and Apple. That explains why my thinkpad lasts forever

Apple and Dell both use(d) Quanta (Taiwan) to manufacture widescreen laptops.
So scratch Apple off that short list.

oh, so the motherboards aren't made in mainland china and the tech support and collections departments aren't run out of india? my message remains the same: f*ck 'em because they are f*cking us already.

I finally got the Printer and Camera after like 50 tries. The guy easily agreed to give me the promotion because I told him my friend did order at the same time and got it. He processed orders for me awhile ago, but it is still not showing up on my order status. Should I be worried? Thanks

I hope you wrote down his name and he gave you some sort of confirmation/order number?
