This thing is loud, really loud. I did realize how quite my old Norelco rotary razor was until I turned on the Remington. The noise is only the first problem. The trimmer button is so poorly placed that your thumb accidentally hits it while shaving. Speaking of shaving, this unit falls short in that department also. I found myself going back to my old safety razor to touch up areas the Remington could not handle. After using this thing for a week I put it in the box and ordered new heads for my Norelco.

imo,bar grill shavers suck. The tri-pivotal head shavers are generaly your best bet. Even then I didn't find a worthy model untill I spent $100 on it.

I love electric razors... will never go back to a blade

I've tried Mach 234235432 and it still sucks comparitively. Just make sure you get thru the two or three weeks while your skin is getting used to it, and then you're golden

this is a horrible electric shaver, even at this price. I bought one, used it 3-4 times and gave up. My older shaver with worn out blades worked better.

Indeed. I thought the title was a reference to a trimmer not a shaver. I could use a new trimmer; blades on the old one are fine but the length guides are detachable and one of them busted.

Edited it . We'll see how this thing will do. I started out shaving with the triple head ones however once you'd let your hair grow out just a bit it'd pretty much pluck it. Then I went to disposables, and then to Mach III which I'm still using to this day. We'll see how this goes. I need something for quick shaves when I don't have time - when I go out/have time to prepare the Mach III will get me a much closer shave.

I got a norelco coolskin waterproof razor on ebay for around $40, and I love it. It's a lot nicer being able to do a quick shave in the shower, and since it's waterproof you can use shaving creme if you want.

Best I've had so far but still dosnt manage to snip all the neck hairs as close as a blade would, and you need a number of passes to do it. But considering I can shave while driving to work saving lots of time, its worth it. Esp since I'm one of those who get their 5 o'clock around 2ish.
