Its is not so much that you cannot tell them apart side-by-side. It is (as it is with many posted in this thread) that it is hard to recall who you are watching in a particular show or movie.

I don't follow actor's lives. It amazes me at how so many people know this and that about an actor, yet couldn't name the secretary of defense or even the vice president FFS!

I'm the exact 180 degree opposite. Though I do have a few signed autographs. But I'm not like on the up and up on who this person is or what part/movie they were in.

The Knightly/Portman resemblance I'd always thought was true at any rate, though the wife never agreed.

Watching Troy, the whole movie i thought Helen was played by Natalie Portman but saw in the ending credits it was actually Diane Kruger. At the time i had never heard of Diane Kruger though. I don't get them mixed up since then though.
