True, but it only costs $4. And transferring it to my checking account would not constitute transferring to another firm, I would think. Plus, where do you see that stated, I can't find it.

I think you are confusing assets and funds.....there is another block that lists transfer of funds from a Sharebuilder account to your checking or savings account as having $0.00 cost.....I think the $50 charge is for transferring stock assets, not cash funds, two different things.

Electronic funds withdrawal.....Electronic delivery of funds from a ShareBuilder account to your checking or savings account.....No charge

Full account transfer out......Transfer of all assets in a ShareBuilder account to another firm......$50.00

Partial transfer out.......Partial transfer of assets in a ShareBuilder account to another firm......$10.00 per security ($50.00 maximum)



Notice how they describe transfers out of assets as transfers to another firm, such as MorganStanley or something like that, and the partial has a $50 maximum with $10 per security charge.....the security would be like a stock or bond or that sort........not just cash from the account.

Just a comment, I've been with them for about 3yrs now and have had no issues. I don't do alot of trading I just usually buy some slowly.

Thanks, was just going to sign up the night before you posted this.

Kind of confusing to set it up, I used the Automatic Investment Plan or whatever it's called to suggest what kind of bonds / stocks i should buy. I ended up with LEHMAN AGG BOND FUND ISHARES and S&P 500 INDEX SPDR per their suggstion. I'm going to play around with buying a few stocks and see how it goes. I have no idea what i'm doing so any advice / links appreciated.

Can someone give a link to the page where they give information about trading other institutions mutual funds? I can only find a page on their handfull of ING funds.
