ForceASPI 1.70

ForceASPI 1.70 has been removed from Flexion's web page and I need it. I don't want to load Adaptec software on my system just to update the ASPI layer. Would really appreciate it if someone could email it to me.

I can't help you with software, but usually this is how I get around it. Install an whatever Adaptec scsi driver and then update ASPI then just remove whatever driver you have installed after you've update ASPI.

I have a Tekram U2W..can I install Adaptec drivers? Never considered that angle.

If you have a scsi adapter already in you should be able to just update your aspi layer. If for some bizzare reason it isn't using the aspi layer to talk to the scsi card you just need to install an adaptec scsi card in windows (just the drivers, you don't need the hardware) and update the aspi layer then uninstall the drivers.

What you need is:

1. Adaptec ASPI layer Version 4.6
2. Adaptec ASPI update.
(Adatptec ASPI layer is a piece of software by it self, you are confusing it with EZ-CD).

If your OS refuses to install these files then you need ForceASPI.

ForceASPI is a program to enforce the installation of th above, it has no value by it self.

I use Adaptec ASPI w/ Tekram DC390-U2W .. ala ForceASPI.

Use with Nero, CDRWin, DiscDupe & CD Architect - no probs.
