Quick question as I've not researched the truck at all...no real interest as it's woefully inadequate for my uses. C'est la vie...nice looking truck for what it is, tho.
My question is....you realize that "typical 23-foot camper's" listed weight is its dry weight and once one adds in potable water, grey water, batteries, and all the typical crap stored in a camper of that type (dishes, linen, TV, etc., etc.), the weight easily climbes over 5000# and potentially hits over 6000#. I know the campers I've towed and weighed on a CAT scale are much, much heavier fully loaded than the "advertised" weight found in the camper's mfgr. spec sheet.
Same as the cargo capacity....1500#, but has the driver been accounted for in that capacity? And is the capacity derived, as usual, on the stripper vehicle of a particular engine/trans combo and have, in very small print--usually marked with an asterisk or footnote--the disclaimer that any and all options added to the vehicle negatively impacts towing/cargo capacities?
Just something to think about....
