Congrats man!! White looks great on it!
Thanks! So far my wife really likes it but it only has 52 miles on it so we will see over the long term.

I want to thank both you and @pauldun170. If it wasn't for you two the Maverick wouldn't have even been on my radar. Pauldun170 made this thread and that caught my attention then
@Kaido posted a link to the Build and Price page for the Maverick. After that is was game over man and I placed an order for one two weeks later.

So thank you again Pauldun170 and Kaido. Without your help and information there wouldn't be a Maverick in my garage right now.

I was really impressed with it on my test-drive...it's the perfect DD truck! Easy access to everything, plus everything is modern on it, plus the price is amazing! Hard to go wrong!

I bought Ford Stock a year ago after seeing Bronco, Mustang Mach-E, F150 Lightning , and Maverick. They are doing great market research and R&D, and hitting home run after home run, in different segments with different approaches. They are going to be fully sold out of all of the above for at least a year into the future. Major Kudos to them. Excited to see what they come up with next, but they are going to be production constrained for a long time, so they don't really need to do anything. Mavericks are going to be everywhere. Even people who never considered trucks are looking at them because the value proposition and urban friendly size. Fleets are going to be buying them left and right too, it's stupid not to at $20K and 40mpg hybrid entry point.
I do wish they hand hybrid AWD model, but it is what it is.

Agreed. Ford is nailing it on both gas powered and electric powered vehicles that people want.

Cars and Bids has a new Maverick up for auction. If you're not familiar with Cars and Bids it's an auction site run by youtuber Doug DeMuro.
Anyway, as of writing this the high bid is at $32,000. If anyone here really wants a Mav this might be your ticket into one especially considering MY22 ordering is now officially closed and it's very unlikely that Ford will be able to keep up with demand for MY23 orders.

well, they stopped making actual cars so fuck them in my mind (I used to like Ford...wanted my next car to be a Ford...but fuck them), but anyway you are right. Hitting it out of the park with this segment (the vast majority of which really shouldn't exist...).

If they bring back a proper, medium-to-small full bed Ranger with single cab, bench seat, I will be very much interested.

Just a little over two months in and it's safe to say my wife LOVES her new truck. We've added a few after market accessories like a tailgate assist, rear mud flaps, a bed cover, and some all weather floor mats to make her "own".

She has put around 866 miles on it and it runs great with no issues. We can't get over how awesome this little truck is. It's perfect for her.

Here's a pic I took after installing the TruXedo Lo Pro tonneau cover. She really likes the way it looks. Install was super easy and only took about 30 minutes.

How exciting! Our first recall!!! The price you pay to be an early adopter is real. It has to do with the brake controller on tow package equipped models. Here is the verbiage Ford used to explain the problem.

I did not caps lock anything. This is a direct copy and paste.

Issue Date
2022-03-25

Description
REPROGRAM INTEGRATED TRAILER RELAY MODULE

Safety Risk
LOSS OF TRAILER BRAKE FUNCTIONALITY COULD RESULT IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy
OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THE INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE UPDATED. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE. FORD IS EXCLUDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR COSTS BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY PROGRAM WOULD PROVIDE FOR A FREE REPAIR FOR THIS CONCERN. FORD WILL FORWARD A COPY OF THE NOTIFICATION LETTERS TO DEALERS TO THE AGENCY WHEN AVAILABLE.

Campaign/NHTSA#
22S17/22v193

Screen cap from our Ford account verifying the recall.

That's not terrible. Almost all new cars, especially first year models, have recalls from time to time.

I think it’s a shared part thing, certain models of 2022 F-150, 2022 Ford Expedition, and 2022 Lincoln Navigator are also included.

Turns out @BoomerD was right. It was no big deal. We took it to the dealership a couple of days ago for service and they flashed the software for us. A little over reacting on my part I admit that. haha What can I say it's the first new vehicle we've ever owned......

On a side note after a little over 1000 mile this little truck keeps proving how awesome it is. We towed a little over 3 cu. yds. of mulch home the other day and the Mav handled it no problem. I took a couple of picks and vid of it so check it out if you get a chance.

I had my ECU flashed last week. Something to do with a cam phaser rattle or some such...I hate it when my phaser rattles. (never noticed any issues, but since it was in the shop getting the sun roof replaced...)

There are spy pics out there of a Maverick that might be a PHEV (plug-in hybrid) and possibly AWD.

I've been holding out for a PHEV version. But I have my doubts that it'll be AWD too - unless Ford stuck a motor on the rear axle in lieu of a traditional driveshaft from the engine. The Toyota RAV-4 Prime has that configuration, and it works very well.

So it turns out the PHEV version of the Mav with AWD was just a rumor but Ford did just announce the all new Tremor package for 2023.

AUG 1, 2022 | DEARBORN, MICH.

  • New Maverick Tremor™ Off-Road Package becomes available as retail order banks re-open for Ford’s highest-demand vehicles, including Bronco Sport, Explorer, Edge, Ranger, F-150, Super Duty and Transit.
  • The new Tremor package is available on XLT and Lariat series trucks and includes a 1-inch lift for greater ground clearance, exclusive Trail Control™, unique off-road-tailored front and rear suspension, advanced all-wheel drive with four-wheel-drive lock and 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine
  • Distinctive Tremor design cues include blacked-out Ford logos, headlamps and taillamps, signature Tremor Orange tow hooks, updated fender vent and new grille; available Tremor Appearance Package offers an even bolder look
DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 1, 2022 – Following the success of the 2022 Maverick, Ford is expanding its compact truck lineup with the new 2023 Maverick Tremor™ Off-Road Package, one of Ford’s hottest products becoming available as the company again begins taking new customer orders for its lineup of high-demand vehicles.

Ford announced its retail order banks will be re-opening for Bronco Sport, Edge, Explorer and Ranger, on Aug. 2, and Maverick and Maverick Tremor will be available for retail order in September. Retail orders for Ford’s hot-selling F-150 and Transit opened a few weeks ago. While customers have been able to buy most of these products off dealer lots, the order banks reopening provides the opportunity for enthusiasts to build their vehicles with the specific content – wheels, colors, features and technology – they desire.

Built to tackle tough terrain

The new Maverick Tremor is an entry-level option for buyers seeking greater off-road capability and bold styling in the same compact package that comfortably fits their daily life in the city while also supporting their outdoor passions.

“Ranger, F-150 and Super Duty customers have embraced the unique off-road capability, technology and appearance updates found across our Tremor family of trucks,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck product marketing and brand manager. “Maverick Tremor delivers on this same promise with new functions and features designed for off-roading – all while keeping the truck’s signature size, affordability, and Built Ford Tough durability and capability.”

Maverick Tremor is available for XLT and Lariat series trucks. It is outfitted with functional and capable features while keeping in line with the signature eye-catching style of the Tremor family of Ford trucks.

Equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine, the compact pickup builds on the FX4 Off-Road Package with an all-wheel-drive system new to Maverick. This advanced system includes a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock feature to allow greater off-road capability. It can divert virtually all rear axle torque to either wheel. Five selectable drive modes make it easy for customers to quickly tailor the on-road and off-road capability of Maverick Tremor to pavement, mud, sand or snow, as well as for towing conditions.

Maverick Tremor also comes with exclusive Trail Control™, which operates like cruise control for off-road driving. Customers simply select a set speed, then the truck manages throttle and braking to allow them to focus on steering through challenging conditions like mud or dirt.

Unique front and rear springs and shocks aid in improved off-road capability. These new shocks, together with a 1-inch increase in ride height, also contribute to a more assertive stance for the new Maverick Tremor. Off-road capability is further bolstered by a heavy-duty transmission cooler and upgraded half-shafts.

Maverick Tremor does not sacrifice its Built Ford Tough credential for great capability. The compact truck offers a maximum tow rating of 2,000 pounds and payload rating of 1,200 pounds so customers can hook up a trailer of dirt bikes or load up the bed with camping gear and fishing rods.

Designed to stand out

The rugged Tremor theme can be found throughout. Maverick Tremor comes with a unique grille finish, plus blacked-out Ford logos, headlamps and taillamps. The two front tow hooks get signature Tremor Orange accents. For an even bolder look, customers can select the available Tremor Appearance Package, which includes a Carbonized Gray-painted roof and mirror caps, as well as black side graphics on the hood and lower body.

Unique 17-inch aluminum wheels feature a new Tremor Orange and dark gray anodized finish, while standard all-terrain tires make for improved traction on loose surfaces like sand, gravel and dirt. A new lower front fascia with a more aggressive approach angle and steel skid plates results in improved capability.

The bold design carries into the cabin, with Black Onyx seats featuring stitched Tremor logos and signature Tremor Orange accents. The center console, register vents and door pulls are updated to include the new color scheme as well.

The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package costs $2,995 MSRP and Tremor Appearance Package costs $1,495. Both packages are available for ordering in September.

Production for the Ford Maverick begins this fall.

Anyone interested in ordering a MY23 Maverick better order soon. The order banks opened on the 15th and Ford is already getting ready to close them. This has to be some sort of record....I've never heard of a manufacturer closing ordering in less than week.

I'm curious to know what the breakdown is between hybrid and turbo powertrains is.

Personally if I was getting one it'd be a near base-model hybrid.

Same. The main attraction is low base price and great MPG. Once you put a turbo in it, those fade quite a bit.
