Forgot how good Oblivion looks.

So I updated my 6.5s to the Chuck 6.9s and got my HDR + 16x HQ AF + 4x AA on with my X1900XTX last night after going through one of the Oblivion gates. I felt like I was watching a Lord of the Rings movie or something. My God that game is beautiful! Found a kick ass chest plate, amulet, and shield while I was playing too as a bonus.

hearing stuff like that makes me bummed i have an Nvidia card

oh well, i bought this game when it came out and i had to RMA my 7900gt like 3 days after i bought the game so i never really got to play it.

i just got my 7950gt not to long ago and when i move to my apartments for college next week i'll start this game up again being that i won't have internet

Sorry 1280x960, C2D E6600@3.0Ghz, 2GB RAM. The X1900XTX is actually a BIOS flashed X1900XT to X1900XTX BIOS also. I use triple buffering and V-sync also. It is smooth and beautiful.

I forgot that I found myself a nice silver sword with an attach rating +2 and weight less than the katana I was using.

Get Qarl's Textures Pack 2 and it'll look even better.

I like the default textures better cos Qarl's look out of place -- they don't follow the game's art style.

Already have the LOD replacement. I've changed some of the moon and plant textures as well, and enabled a few bug fixes (e.g. fireplace bug etc.).

Ackmed, I find that I need to disable vsync+3ple buffering because of all the VRAM being used up by my game already...1GB Vram here I come!

Anyone have opinions on whether or not to enable or disable Catalyst A.I.? I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand extra FPS with equal visual quality (or possibly even improved) sounds very appealing, but I also like the thought of ATI's software leaving it's hands off the rendering and just brute forcing the output the developer intended.

In all serious, this was a very informative read for me personally. It really took my visual tweaking one step up from where it was at the time.

CAT AI should almost exclusively be set to Standard. The only game I disable it for is for BF2 to enable 10xSSAA
