formatted system, original Windows 7 recovery?

I have a Vaio core i5 system, Windows 7 home premium (when bought) with a 500G hard disk and 4G RAM.

Due to some reason or the other, my system has been formatted. I don't have an original Windows 7 installation disc, and I have no idea how to get back a functional Windows 7 HP original. Any help?

Before your laptop starts to try and load an OS press F10 (could be F11, F12 too, dependant on model) and you'll be faced with a host of options.

One of which should be to restore your operating system. Keep restarting and pressing them F keys till you get the menu.

Or you can buy the DVDs from sony for $15 probably. HP/Dell will let you buy it usually for that much.

When you got the PC, there should have been a program that allows you to make restore DVDs, or the DVDs should have already came with the pc. Unless sony doesn't do either of those.

Other option is to do what the above person said, or do a system restore.

Or download an OEM version from torrents or digital river.
