I'm going to have to let a few systems leak a bit that have never ran Seti, to get a cache built up.

A very good way to start FB Sprint this year.
I agree, we should learn a lot about how many of the TeAm will be active in Sprints this year and if other teams in League 1 are going to participate in Sprints. Hmm ... OcUK and Overclock.net?

That 100 task limit applies to both CPU and GPU tasks, combined, correct?

********************************

Apologies for using this thread as a dumping ground, so I can transfer my app_config to my Linux box with a 10 series GPU. Yes, I'm too lazy to look for a thumb drive.

<app_config>
<app>
<name>astropulse_v7</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>.25</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.01</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
<app>
<name>setiathome_v8</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>.25</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.01</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
</app_config>

Should be 100 GPU tasks per GPU, plus 100 CPU tasks per host.
Further correction:
100 GPU tasks per GPU
100 CPU task per device(be it dual socket or quad socket)
1000 tasks per host (a hardcoded limit in the client)
That can be changed if you change 2 lines of code in the source and compile it yourself
Boinc doesn't care if you have a 64 core quad socket system, the scheduler sees it as if you had a, 64 core single socket system
A good quote on the S@H forums
BOINC --> You havee vone CPU, you have 4 CPU's, I Don' Care! I see Noth-ink! You geet 100! No More! (using my best Sgt. Schultz impersonation) lol

We should fare better with OcUK because they have more CPU power than GPU last year, but I don't really know. And they still have cold weather there even though it's almost April so they have reason to keep their farm in full blast.

Maybe just Winblows? It says there are Intel, ATI and CPU tasks but "no tasks for you."

So I need to put every other project on pause until SETI is done, right ?

If you are so inclined, yessir, CPU or GPU or both. When you wake up Saturday Sunday (I thought that seemed a bit short, thanks Stefan ) morning, you will desire to resume your regularly scheduled programming.

The sprint actually ends on Sunday (morning for Mark, night for kiska). But since validations may take a long time at SETI@home, the later the results are submitted during the sprint, the lower is their chance to get validated before the finish line.

Wow, got snatched by KWSN. Keep an eye for L'Alliance Francophone 'cause they're moving fast.

It's early in the game, but we do seem to be in a rather tight grouping, which is to say, in this first Sprint, we are near the top of the third group in League One. Gridcoin is in a group of their own at the top, SETI.U and SETI.G comprise the 2nd grouping, with more than double the score of the 3rd group (consisting of 10 teams, 450k to 750k in points).

Of noticeable absence in this Sprint, are Overclock.net and OcUK. Anyone paid them a visit recently?

edit: Good heavens, OCN's DC forum is filled with mining threads, and OcUK doesn't seem to have a current thread for FB, though I prodded them a bit in last year's thread.

EDIT: Whew, I found OCN's real DC thread: Overclock.net > Overclockers Care > Overclock.net BOINC Team > Formula BOINC 2018

Both oc.net and OcUK forum are quite active. Their pre-sprint RAC is also nominal.

Whew, I found OCN's real DC thread: Overclock.net > Overclockers Care > Overclock.net BOINC Team > Formula BOINC 2018
I went looking around and haven't found any current Formula Boinc related threads in the forums of SETI.USA, KWSN, USA, Canada, Australia.
SETI.Germany haven't followed Formula Boinc for many years now.

L'Alliance Francophone:

Czech National Team:

Rechenkraft.net:

Planet 3DNow!:

Edit March 25: added RKN
Edit April 6: added P3DN
