Oh, well. I was just going my what I am seeing on my own machines, and they have been able to work continuously since the official start time. YMMV, apparently. No; demand is constantly exceeding supply ever since <1h after the sprint announcement. The lottery continues.
A certain team just hit the roof quite soon. Seems like they're in other league.Day 1:
On 6 June 2018 project scientist toma said:The goal of this experiment is the identification of gene networks involving human genes of medical relevance for two broad families of human pathologies: motor neuron diseases (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_neuron_disease) and hematopoietic tumors (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumors_of_the_hematopoietic_and_lymphoid_tissues).
Human gene network expansion will take advantage of the comprehensive gene expression dataset provided by the FANTOM project (http://fantom.gsc.riken.jp/5/data/).
Hmm, I'm busy now, but perhaps I should look at the affected machine? It's new to me to be mentioned in this way...

Well, this is disturbing. The machine in question is a dual Ivy Xeon, E5-2680V2 x2 with 32GB of ECC DDR3. It's usually rock solid, but appears to have a high rate of "Inconclusive" and "Invalid" on TN-Grid. I don't know what to look for or what to do, save taking it out of service or applying it instead to PrimeGrid. It's number 38177.
It's number 38177.
It was running anonymous platform, while its sibling 17472 runs the stock applications with a normal low rate of inconclusives.Well, this is disturbing. The machine in question is a dual Ivy Xeon, E5-2680V2 x2 with 32GB of ECC DDR3. It's usually rock solid,
Ah, yes, that makes sense. I meant to remove that custom app from all the machines as it seems to be a poor performer, though as usual, I'm easily distracted and quite busy.It was running anonymous platform, while its sibling 17472 runs the stock applications with a normal low rate of inconclusives.
With TN-Grid on GC's whitelist, this one feels like 1st. :-)Congrats on 2nd guys!
