Another pole position for Vettel, but the rest of the field is much closer to them than in S'pore.

Which bodes well for Alonso having a shot. It's pretty much turned into a Vettel show while we wait for 2014 which has the potential to be even worse with Newey having a clear edge in design. With it being a new car that talent is going to be even more valuable. Unless there are big differences in performance or reliability I don't think 5-time is out of the question.

Absolutely epic weekend from both Hulkenberg and Grosjean. These two need to be together for 2014.

Lotus, make it happen!!!

Really impressed with Grosjean. Maybe he is finally getting the hang of things.

Well, looks like another F1 parade race, at least for 1st place. Vettel has a 2.1 sec lead after one lap. Boring.

Great race. Glad to see America making an appearance. That Jeep looked stunning amid millions of dollars of European racing precision.

Great race apart from finger boy. My driver of the race goes to Hulk. It's a shame the teams don't want him because he's too big and heavy, ugh.

I wonder what was going through Vettel's head when he turned into T2 and saw a Jeep heading down the straight.

Compass. The worst vehicle ever to have a Jeep logo. Patriot a close second.

Has anyone seen the movie 'Rush' yet? I saw it over the weekend and loved it. Great movie and a must see for any F1 fan.

I thought it was a really great movie. People were complaining about there not being enough racing. Stupid complaint as the movie was about the drivers and their relationship(s), not just the racing. It was really well done, just as I would expect from Ron Howard. Two thumbs up.

Saw it last weekend and it blew my mind. I didn't expect it to be as great as it was. I wish there had been more racing action. Highlights of great passes at more races or events but I know why there wasn't. I'm sure there was a lot of extra material but both the costs of the real F1 cars racing plus the disinterest of non-F1 fans would have made it a waste of time. Still a great movie.

2 Grand Chelems in a row for finger boy... impressive no doubt. Still boring though. :hmm:

He didn't lead every lap this time around. Webber was in front at one point, before his first pit stop, IIRC.

I enjoyed the race, especially the last dozen laps, as before them not much happened. Also enjoyed Rush. Great movie, which somehow managed to convey a certain level of authenticity, while also being dramatic.

Hülkenberg and Grosjean would make a nice counterpoint to the old man's team that is Ferrari.

He did actually, though. You are only considered to have lead a lap if you are in front when you cross the finish line, and because Webber pitted that did not happen.

LMAO I couldn't believe the Jeep on track. You would think he would at least be off the racing line.

Poor Webber, two DNF in a row.

And Alonso could only muster 6th place.

I saw the 1/2 hour special about the making of the movie and they said they only had the cars for a relatively short amount of time so they focused on shooting all the starting grid shots and standing starts with some racing action. It must be hard to re-enact that though with privately owned collector cars like that.

I thought it was really cool that they had Niki Lauda do a cameo at the end of the film.

Cool Niki Lauda interview on the film itself. He said it was a very accurate portrayal of the '76 F1 season. He had a lot of praise of both actors as well.

Amazing how well Chris Helmsworth played James Hunt. Even his vocal inflections are accurate.

A young Niki Lauda.

One of the better races of the year but wow, Red Bull screwed Webber. Not only once but twice.

How so? Webber could've easily won the race, he just needed to get past Grosjean earlier. Alas, he needed 5 rounds even though he was on fresher, faster tyres.
I can only imagine know how long it would've taken him to overtake Grosjean with slower tyres, so I'm not sure how he could've done any better with a 2 stop strategy.

The fun part about Webber is that he always complains about everything and everybody goes along with it. No, the reason that Webber can't get past Vettel and gets outqualified 14:1 absolutely can't be that he's clearly a worse driver. No way. Of course it must be a case of Red Bull willfully sabotaging their #2 car because they hate their #2 driver.

I will agree that he's not as fast as Seb, but clearly the team/luck has let him down a lot too
