1 system I am trying to get up is not getting work. Event log says no Atlas or Sixtrack available. Checked there forums and several people are reporting the same.

I wonder if they realize that a lot of us might lend them CPU cycles even outside of the Sprint if their implementation was a bit more user-friendly.

@iwajabitw, I'm envious as you can at least choose between classic and ATLAS etc.. With Murphy's law in full effect, all my idle machines don't have Virtualbox installed and it would take a lot of effort to get it installed on them. So these boxes are limited to Sixtrack.

In contrast, one machine has Virtualbox installed but is still happily crunching with work for at least another day, and on another one I could equip with Virtualbox with little effort but this one has work for at least another 1/2 day.

...and we are off.
A quick snapshot of where we are in the marathon. Probably won't gain a spot, but should put some distance between us and meisterkuehler.de Team.
We have jumped out in the lead in the sprint Pedal to the metal

Pedal to the metal; peddle some mettle for petals and medals.

I can't get any Atlas work either. What the hell!?

@Ken g6 , seems as I've done something wrong:

@crashtech, looks like this client has never received any work in LHC@home at all, i.e. hasn't downloaded any of its applications yet, hence doesn't know them. ("Known applications: None.") Did you add the project just recently?

(Edit: Sounds like a box where you removed classic and added new.)

LHC@home's scheduler must harbor a secret despise for some of our hosts (especially mine...) --- but evidently for random hosts of other teams too.

No wonder we can't get work, LHC has NO KNOWN APPLICATIONS.

Sorry, trying to cheer myself up, as I sit looking at nearly 0% CPU utilization across the board. Sigh.

I guess in the interim I'll be running some GPU as I await fresh sixtract tasks.

So I am like really lucky that I have 88 threads running LHC at the moment ?

Just updated for the nth time and finally picked up 43 tasks, after twiddling my cores all afternoon...

I have over 850 tasks on 4 boxes queued, what worries me is the one box only has 22 tasks. The others have hundreds

On a sudden generous whim, LHC sent my previously shunned machine a full complement of tasks, one for each core.

Naturally, every single one of these tasks was of the 5-seconds type.

Marathon stats are a bit wonky. I think because DENIS has "Problems in the server" and has minus a bunch of our points. With the 25 for this Sprint we should be ahead of 3rd place Sicituradastra.
Does anyone remember what our Formula BOINC score was in DENIS?

Yes, DENIS had a huge problem and I don't know if the data will be recovered. I don't remember our score, but we were definitely on the board, and now we're not. I put close to a quarter million points worth of work into it personally, I think.

Edit:

I think LHC is a horrible choice for a Sprint. I'm taking some machines with chronic work shortages off of it now. Two of my biggest producers, btw...

It's not always wise to be complacent. Other teams are known for having large bunkers that will come into play later. But we do seem to have a commanding lead!

It all depends on who gets tasks. I for one have not received any sixtrack tasks for more than 24 hours now. My weakest machine is the only one that has any left to run, and it only has about 6 hours of work left.

Sorry for the late stats. Car show weekend. Takes a while to checkout 12,000+ cars

Well we are in first and doing well despite all the problems LHC gives us.
