Interesting how the 8C/16T Ryzen 7 holds its own against the 4C/8T Skylake Xeon E3, while both have dual channel RAM controllers. Did you provide the Ryzen system with lower latency RAM than the Xeon E3?
I believe RAM has something to do with the results, for instance, I know that the last-place Ivy Bridge machine has Registered ECC DDR3-1066, otherwise I think it should have done better even with the clockspeed deficit. I'm going to add the RAM type when I get time.

Somehow, Number Fields related projects must be some kind of trigger for dormant crunching powers in the United Kingdom. Great result from OcUK.
Congratulations also to Crunching@EVGA for their well deserved medal.
Cheers to Overclock.net who are probably enjoying their summer vacation.

Dear TeAm mates, thanks once more for the spot-on advice at the start of the sprint. It enabled me as an NFS n00b to set up the gear effectively and quickly. Even more appreciated since it was one of these sprints which start at an uncomfortable time here in zone UTC+0200, and on workdays of course.

Good work, TeAm. Does this mean I can stop crunching NFS@Home on my Ryzen rigs, or is the "Marathon" still ongoing?

All Formula Boinc marathons run from January 1 to December 31.
In NFS@home, we are 380 k (5 %) ahead of rank 5 and 520 k (7 %) behind rank 3.

Hey, Larry. You can see which projects are Marathon projects on the Formula BOINC page:

http://formula-boinc.org/projets.py?lang=en&year=2017

What I sometimes do is look through the projects for one we could be doing better in, or one where we are in danger of being overtaken. Free-DC is great for researching how we are doing against other teams.

Have reached my personal milestone of 10M points in CSG.
What project would need some 24 CPU-cores to help in the marathons?
Should I continue CSG?
I would appreciate some input!

The TeAm is going to lose first place and 7 points in Leiden Classical in about six days. I'm not sure it is worth trying to keep it as SETI@Netherlands is gaining at 30K per day. The top guy is doing that much, if he moves to another project it would be easier keep it.

A few hours ago I started up a 22C/44T Windows host, which is fully working on Leiden Classical now, and a 4C/8T Linux host, which only got 7 tasks so far but keeps asking for more periodically. These hosts crunch as part of @Kiska's datacenter. I don't know yet how long I can keep them available for Leiden Classical.

I suppose SETI@NL will continue at their pace until Leiden Classical shut down operations entirely.

The SETI@NL top guy stopped two other projects at 20M milestone and he is only 350K away now ... so maybe in ten days or so?

He is still 200K away but appears to be ramping down, (well, at least the last four days).

Nice work, @GLeeM and @Fardringle and @Rudy Toody.
Edit: ...especially since Sztaki can be a finicky project, from what I read.

Good, then I can put down my Kiska disguise soon and run some Primegrid around the eclipse of the sun...

The two Marathon points we lost were to Crunching@EVGA in Collatz Conjecture. Two of their big hitters started crunching Collatz to the tune of 22 million and 11 million so far today.

Umm Not a SETI fan in general and I'm down a rig(ps went belly up) and going to turn cpu's toward PG later today and you know, we have to pick and choose our FB battles.

Truth is we were going for a large bunker bomb on Collatz but they'll only give 100 at time. Who knew? I got the team all riled up to do it and did not do my homework on it. I feel dumb.

We'll have good Collatz numbers as result, for a few more days then back to normal

Knock em out of the park in SETI fella's

Sorry about your PSU defect, and right before the start of another challenge even. Seems you gave it a good workout recently in those marathon projects.

Thanks. It's a Corsair AX850 and their website is so screwed up I can't even get to service for warranty claim/RMA ticket.

The two Marathon points we lost today were to Hungary in World Community Grid.

I had been putting quite a few cores to WCG before the recent Primegrid challenge, and I'll put them back on it in a couple days.

And the project is Milkyway. Something for all you AMD users I guess.
