If money is a non-issue. Buy both and do a review for us
"stability/quietness ratio most important" Your first words not mine.
I PMed you, at your request, a good site, run buy a guy that reviews PSUs with full load
testing. He listed the PSUs in an order he feels they deserve.
PCP&C and Zippy/Emacs are at the top of that list. FSP Group PSUs are close.
You want quiet. Go with the new model Fortron because it has an internal(inside the case)
fan that is 120mm. It's probably a Yate Loon because that is what I've seen when I've
opened up a Fortron with a 120 fan. The PCP&C will have an 80mm ball bearing fan that
will not even get close to a 120 Yate Loon in the dBA war.
For those interested in more dead horse beating,. I offer the Fortron's pdf spec sheet.
http://www.home2000.net/client/fspgroupusacom/images/FSP%20FX600-GLN(SPEC).pdf
The spec looks VG indeed. Note the load it says it can carry depending on how it's FOUR
12V rails are loaded. I hope it lives up to that spec in real world reviews. If it does, Seasonic
will be looking at a new kid on the block.
Note also how the efficiantcy rating varies, depending on the supply voltage. PSUs are
more efficiant at 240VAC than 120VAC.
When Seasonic or anyother high efficiantcy PSU says...Up to 85% efficiantcy, they are
probably talking at 240VAC. Here in the States we are at 120VAC, atleast most of us plug
the rig into a wall socket, not the 220 used for the dryer or stove.
This kind of half truth is just another fudged lie that the ad-ppl put on us.
OP, I never will post in another PSU thread you put up.
Enough already, just pick a partner and dance
