Hello old friends! Posting to see if there is enough interest to run one of these mafia forum games again. I first got into Forum Mafia on this site (lost my lurker status in 2012 thanks to it), and have since transitioned to a dedicated Forum Mafia site where I currently run the subforum for Newer players. Based on the thread Thingyman necroed, it looks like we might have enough interest for a 9-player game, so I will tentatively be using a modified Newbie setup from MafiaScum. Should we get more than 9 players interested, I will choose a different setup - maybe even put it up to a vote between a few setups.

Post here with an /in if interested in playing.

It's basically a social deduction game where an uninformed majority try to find an informed minority. It's complicated by different roles and powers that can help/hinder.

This is a previous example of a game run on site. Here is a link to a brief explanation of common rules/roles.

Once the setup is determined we can decide on activity requirements (we used to use 48 hour days/24 hour nights here. This can go up to 2 week days and 72 hour nights) and a ruleset will be posted.

I assume that we won't exclude anyone just because of something like, say, illness or disability. Sure, someone might be maybe, potentially, a "latent sociopath" but that doesn't mean that they're necessarily an amoral narcissist too. Although . . . hmm. Maybe put a pin in that. One thing for sure, they'll at least have an interesting sense of humor so . . .
