The Forums were inaccessible today due to a technical issue which has been addressed.

Yes, same problems as when the conversion to this new software a few months back.

Have to hot Refresh or (f5) to try and get posts to go and sometimes they still won;t go.

Also, would it be possible if lengthy outages like this occur that there could be a notice on the main anandtech page saying so? Some peeps on here rely on these forums as a means of communication for deals, support, etc.

A lot of regular e-mail traffic occured too asking if the forums were down for me. Some people may think it is a problem on their end or ISP etc.

Correct, partial service has been restored. We are working as fast as we can to restore full power.

Wow! Back on air! For a moment, I was wondering if my ISP (VOL DSL) was IP-banned or something, or ... nasty server gremlins had sprung to life, and eaten the admins, or something. (Hint: Don't play Doom3 on the server.. bad things can happen.)

I wish they would have taken that step as well. Sucks when you can't get any information at all when you also can't log in at all.

Agreed. I wish they'd just kick this Forum software to the curb, but somekind of Forum Up/Down News/Indicator on the Frontpage would be nice.

please post something on the anandtech homepage like under the news catagory.
or maybe send a mass mailing to all members?

it sounds silly but i feel sort of cut off when this happens. i have come to kinda depend on anantech forums
