Why is there no official respond from the mods regarding what exactly happened?
Are our account/password/personel information in danger of been leaked?

Jason Clark was online last night for a long time, so I supposed they were fixing the exploit that the douche Loke used, so when I had to login this morning I figured they did something, I was surprised to see this also. As it just started happening as I left for the night as the forums became really slow so I figured they were doing something to the database. If you guys added Jason Clark to your buddy list you can see when he is on, and maybe in this situation you would have figured out that it wasn't a hack, just an update gone wrong I guess.

When I came to the forums I was already logged out, and had to re log-in, even though it's usually set to auto log in.

I was logged in as someone else this morning. The secret question is a big security issue. Someone could use that same question and answer for their credit cards, bank, etc.

I appear to be who I am. It looks like the user index was tango uniform. Turning off the login cookie may have fixed it.

Changed my pass and question just in case

But anyway, with this problem surfacting, the forums should have been shut-down ASAP, till whatever problem is fixed.

Logged out and in instinctively as soon as I saw I was someone else, but I figure it's not bad to note all accounts this happened to. I'm me, but for a bit I was manganese.

Two browsers on one computer, two browsers on another (different physical location, no less)... all showing the same wrong account of "njed" until I log out out each.

Same here. Three different computers and I logged in as buddmann everytime until I logged out and then in. Kinda weird that the forums think I'm the same person everytime. I only got asked the security question the first time I was logged in wrong.

EDIT: I guess it's a cookie problem the more I think about it.

WHAT personal information? Check your profile. Nobody can steal your identity from the (lack of) information there. Also, your password is hidden, but that won't stop someone from changing the profile or password.

Looks more like hack to me. Somebody loged in as "AnandTech Sodomator" yesterday. The thread was promptly deleted.

I was Daybreaker, didn't notice for about an hour, did answer the security question, but gave a bad answer. I posted a few messages and did at least one PM with trade question. Not sure yet if anything unrelated to these forums got hosed.
