I noticed all the other threads on this getting locked, are there any official answers beyond log out/log in? What if someone screws up your account? It would seriously suck to get locked out of forums, how the frig would you prove who you were? What about all the for sale/trade stuff that relies upon who you are and being able to get your PMs and stuff?




When I refreshed AT forums today, it was asking me to put in a secret question. After I did, it said I was someone else (snop dog or some such). I literally was in his profile, I coulda changed anything even his password. But I just changed his secret question so it wasn't mine anymore, and logged out.

Scary.

The mods could always check by IP. Don't know if they could give them back to the original owners though.

I was Str8Dog for some reason. I went in and deleted my mother's maiden name if that is alright. Then logged out then back in.

Well why would they check if they wouldn't return them?

And what about the majority of people who are on dynamic IPs? What if someone who uses the same ISP (which often means a somewhat similar IP) tries to take someone's account?

IMHO, this problem is serious enough that the mods should shut down the forums entirely until its fixed.

The guy I got logged in under joined in 2000 and had made a total of 8 posts.

Weird.

Anyhow, just wanted to show who I got logged in as.
