Don't think so, the thread rating shouldn't have any impact on the user (as far as having a low rating causes it to automatically get locked and such), but it's just an instrument to critique threads and knowing what threads have the most appeal to users.

And god is it annoying.

It's because you're not using the default theme.

Yay! It would be a decent idea, although you'd have to get rid of the kiddies, and not make the stars so pominent on the page. Hmmm, I like that first idea.......

EDIT: I notice the ratings aren't present in a couple other forums as well. Not sure if they are being turned off as I was looking. However, I can see the benefit of ratings in the Hot Deals forum, where you could hopefully see the best deals at the glance of a rating. 5 stars is a smoking hot deal, 0 stars means it shouldn't have even been posted.

Another vote for

1. Change of color for thread title of visited threads
2. Reduce font size associated with avatars and user information - it makes even 1-line posts take up way too much room.
3. End of thread link available from inside thread

Regarding FS forum pages. You can't actually go to the 4th page unless you click the arrow four times? I think the pages should be listed on top and bottom so you can randomly click on them, instead of having going through each page.

These things are so basic you shouldn't even have to ask

Light silver is purty

I wouldn't mind seeing a search link on the mini menu in the upper right corner, where the search used to be. I'm sure i can get used to the new position though.

Except what if I don't like the default theme.

I guess I'll use it for now until they (or someone) fixes it.

Can we add a large font theme again, please? Or the ability to set the font size in the forums?

You can click the a- and A+ buttons at the top on the right hand side. Not sure if it's persistent between sessions though.

Thank you!!!

Now I just need my read thread title color changes and I'll be set!

is it just me or are the icons for online/profile/pm/print buttons wayy too big? it makes the deadspace between each post so large that just 1 post take up the majority of a 1024x768 screen.
The new color scemes are screwy too. The blue is okay but i really like my old grey - when i switched it the blue background shows from underneath and makes it look bad.
Missing the last button in thread as well
overall kinda dissapointed...seems like the only "good" change made was graphical and any additional changes have had to be disabled so as not to cause server slowdowns

Does this mean we will finally be able to perform a search of the entire archives, not just the posts made prior to ~11/2005?

They're the perfect size for me. But i'm using the larger fonts on a 17" laptop @ 1920x1200.

Wait? I'm not seeing the options to turn off user avatars and smileys? Is there no longer a "light mode?"

Alright, I'm having some issues here with Firefox 2.0.0.4.

Take a loot at this.

Because the text is all the way out there it's causing the bottom to scroll which is annoying. Also it happens here (picture) too.

As you can see it sort of goes off the page on the right side which is really annoying. Never happened before either. The posts seem to fit within my browser window though.

IMO, downgrade it is.
Using Firefox 2.0.0.4. here at 1024 x 768 resolution with no problem. What resolution are you using?

16:10
1680x1050 widescreen.

So it seems that some people get it and other don't? Maybe it's because of the widesreen?
And god is it annoying.

At least everything seems to have sped up a little bit (at least for me).

I have the same problem on my 1280x800 laptop and 1600x1200 desktop.

Same problem here (also FireFox). Do you guys have the Quick Reply box enabled? I do.

Also, am I the only one who uses the My Forums page mostly to find the threads I've recently posted in? Kind of annoying to have to click twice to get there instead of once like before.

Also, FireFox reports a JavaScript error every time I press a key in this reply textbox. Including the shift key - if I hold it down it goes crazy. I'm up to 837 and counting just for this reply. Woohoo, broke 900.

Error is window.event has no properties at messagepost.aspx (line 1003)
if (window.event.altKey) {

1100 JavaScript errors.

Just got an error when I attempt to clear the threads I've subscribed to in the My Forums area.
