Solved! Forwarded ports on router, disabled windows firewall, ports are still not responding.

I'm using the Asus RT-AC1300UHP. My server is runing Windows 7. I have a FTP server set up and remote desktop.
I set up port forwarding on the router for 21 and 3389. I disabled windows firewall. I have my FTP server (filezilla) listening. My remote desktop is also enabled.
This portscanner says neither port 21 nor 3389 is responding.

I've never had any issues with any past routers that I've used.

I had to remove your IP address, as its not wise to spam your personal IP address to public.

Did you turn off FTP share under USB application?

Don't know why your remote desktop wouldn't work. You can use TeamViewer as remote desktop alternative. No port forwarding required.

Good guess on the FTP share, but it's off.

I don't know why either isn't working either. I can connect to the ftp through localhost. I can connect to remote desktop through the LAN. So both services are up and running. It's just not being routed through the port forwarding.

Switch Off IP6 and use IPv4

Do it with IPv4 static IPs and open the ports, it will work like charm.

My Ip6 isn't on. I just tried manually setting up a static IP with the default gateway listed on the router LAN configuration (192.168.1.1)
I couldn't get internet access.
How do I set it up manually and still get internet access?

Oh, there's one built into the fiber modem. Maybe I need to forward ports on there.

If it's a fiber router, the yes, you have to do port forwarding there. You also have to config ASUS router as an AP (access point), uplink one of its LAN port to the fiber router, not WAN port. ASUS router's WAN port need to leave unconnected.

Using Cable,DSL Router as an Access Point

I just tried hooking the PC up to the fiber router and forwarded the ports there and everything is working. I can access the FTP and the RDP.
I will need to do some additional configuration to change the fiber router to a passive switch. Thanks for the resource to Jack's blog.
