I'm probably in but I just started and suck. So I should try and get enough credits for an rx-8 or rx-7 right? And what track are we running and what settings?

I've got one of each that I've upgraded and tuned up but decided against using this week. I could send you one of those if you want, or if you'd rather try to earn your own. I'm not sure what they cost - or what region you started in - but they might be a tad pricey to start, especially upgraded to A850. You've probably already posted your gamertag in this thread but if not, post it up here and I'll send you one of those two when I get home.

As for track, we generally hit most of them every night, running 4-6 laps on each. Not sure what you mean by settings but we don't disable the braking or full race lines and don't force disabling of TCS, STM, or ABS. Tuning and upgrading this week is open to whatever you want so long as the Performance Index doesn't exceed 850.

Thanks GT is JEDISURFER1. Only reason I ask which track we are running is to get some practice so I don't run into people or cause a pileup and I'm not sure about multiplayer but in arcade I've only got 2 tracks open to me and the rest are locked, but I guess MP has a default set of tracks open to everyone.

Basically in MP all tracks are available to everyone except the ones that have to be downloaded.

If you go into Career mode then pick your car you want then to tuning, then under test drive you can drive any track in the game. You will be running by yourself but it is a great way to practice and get a feel for the tracks.

Hopefully you can make it tonight as we usually have a helluva lot of fun.

As blowfish (GCS) said, you should be able to work any tracks ahead of time. If you wanted to focus on a couple all-around tracks, you might try Laguna Seca and Maple Valley. Personally, I like Road Atlanta a lot, too.

As for wrecking folks, don't worry about it too much. We all try to race clean but it's racing and things happen.

I'll add you to my friends like when I get home (I'm OneSkinneeJ). You might have to accept the request before I can gift a car, though, I'm not sure. I'll be home around 6:30 EST and will do it right when I get home so you've got a couple hours to mess around.

The wife will probably want my attention all night but if not I'll try to jump in for a race or three (and maybe C&M).

Fellas I can host tonight if necessary. I should be home right around which should give me enough time to square away the kids, dinner, etc and get setup and send out the invites a little before 9pm.

I will most likely be 10-15 min late, and leave ~7:30PST. Damn life getting in the way of my gaming!

I might cut it short tonight, too, depending on how many people we've got. I'm stopping by Circuit City on the way home to pick up GTA so I may want to get after that for a bit tonight. Planning on playing some before racing so I may get my fill there and be okay.

I'm in -- haven't put too much time in driving, but I did manage to get an RX-7 right at A850...I'll be practicing in a bit.

I don't have any wireless and thinking of setting it up so I can join in on the wreaks ..... uh I mean racing.

My 360 would be on the wireless side and was wondering if those that have theirs set up and working good with live would tell my what you're using?

I'd prefer not to go with n gear as I'm looking at having to buy 2 devices and would rather not spend that much money if it's possible to get live going nicely without it.

Sorry for the slight thread jack.

Thanks.

Hopeless, start a new thread or post in networking.

The easiest way is with a XBOX wireless adapter, the cheaper and sometimes better way due to higher quality radios is using a wireless router as a workgroup bridge.

If you post in networking you'll get TONS of good answers. Your question is very common and they'll step you through it.

I only got in a few races tonight but it was a good night. If you look back in this thread you'll see that I'm one of the guys that kept repeating that I enjoy "straight racing" the best, but darn, Cat & Mouse has been a blast whenever we run it. In particular, Blowfish and I really took it to each other tonight.

It's always cool to see some new guys come out. Hope you had fun. Arby sure didn't look rusty to me and I'm sure Jedi will be competitive in no time.

Yeah, I've got the WRT54GL out in my living room with a short cat5 running to my 360. In my computer room, I have my cable modem and a D-Link DGL-4300 router just doing its normal broadcast. If you have a router that's running DD-WRT, it's pretty easy to configure it to run in client bridge mode, which means it basically just takes my existing wireless network (which was setup and running long beforehand and didn't have to be modified to integrate the DD-WRT router) signal and lets me hitch on to that with a cat5. It works well. All my computers and my 360 are on the same subnet so it makes it extremely easy to watch videos or listen to music stored out on my fileserver (I'm using TVersity for this and it's also quite easy to set up).
