PAINT JOB POST!!

If you have a paint job from this past week's race (5/7) that you'd like to put up for voting, SEND IT TO MY ASAP. I don't have any saved races from those races (boo-urns on me).

Well, I've got my car setup for this week now. Painted and everything. No last minute rush...woohoo!

For the following week, I'm thinking of a really light/tiny car like the Pontiac Solstice at the B level. Thoughts?

My xbox--> router is acting funny. It's not recognizing that my Xbox is on the router anymore so I can't get on XBL...hopefully I'll have it sorted out by tomorrow night.

I may be on for a little bit tonight running a few laps if anyone's interested in joining. Not sure when it will be but it may be before 8 EST, maybe 7 to 8 or so. Possibly again around 10 but I'm not sure yet. Need to do the paint job, too.

Things are looking up for me to make it @ 9 tomorrow night. If I get my stupid car painted.

Well I am not sure how you guys are fairing with the Prelude but I am happy at the moment I just ripped off several laps on Road Atlanta at about 1:34. That may not be as good as some of you guys but I am feeling really good about the car. I have the upgrades and tune I like and I am enjoying this car quite a bit.

Oh and my paint job this week KICKS A$$!!!!

See you guys on the track tomorrow night.

Nice Greg, should be a fun night. The Prelude definitely does not act like a front wheel drive car. I ran several races with alpineranger last night and it actually felt like my rear was sliding out. I am also having a very hard time getting my tires up to temp on the rear. They just won't heat up no matter how much I thrash them through corners.

Yeah, blowfish, nice laptime.

We must have very different setups, Waldo, because I've not broken traction on my rear tires anywhere near that extent. The Prelude drives a lot like the CRX from my recollection. I don't worry about tire temperatures and that sort of thing, though. I just get my calculator tune, change the gear ratios and downforce as needed, and call it a day, heh.

Hmmm I am not having this problem at all. My car is very good on all the tracks I tested it on last night. I will admit I have no idea about tire temps as I did not check them.

I did run several of the career mode races in this car last night. I maxed out the AI difficulty and was racing mostly against high A class and 2 S class cars starting from 8th place and I still managed to win all 4 races in the series. Granted the AI isn't the most intuitive but it's not horrible either. The big thing against these higher end cars was that they had to slow down more on corners and any tight turns (think Road Atlanta just after Turn 1) and in the prelude I was able to storm by with very little slow down. They whipped my a$$ on straight aways though. Maybe I was just having a really good night last night

Anyway see you guys on the track tonight.

We still need a volunteer to host tonight as well.

I'm always willing to host. I just remember trying that one time about a month ago and I know CK and I think some others had some connection issues. I don't know if it's me or that was just a bad night or what. In general, I don't remember many complaints about me lagging (there was something a couple weeks ago with me and Arby but that I think that's about it) so I'm not sure if it's my end or what. If there isn't another host that's proved more reliable than me by a few minutes after 9, I'll start it up.

I, for one, very much dislike the sound of that.

All engine I guess and yes it may not bode well for the rest of us. I guess we just need to wreck him every chance we get . Or we could host the game and not invite him hmmm.....

J/K Waldo we'll see what happens later. Besides if you can't keep your butt on the track we may all have a better chance!!

I think Arby said he tested all engine and no handling and all handling and no engine and the difference was negligible. I tested some similar things and found that the difference wasn't all that much, either. 0.2 seconds I think is the difference Arby experienced. That could very easily come down to just driver difference between two laps. Even with all engine, the Prelude isn't too difficult to keep straight, it's just easier with the handling stuff of course, and it's faster through the corners. Comes down to where you want to be fast, corners or straights, really, from what I'm seeing.

You have to follow your own rules, FWD only.
